P.J. Brown and Sam Cassell

Post#1 » by Moses_Malone95 » Thu Mar 6, 2008 6:48 pm

Does anyone know when either of these two are going to play? I understand why Sam isn't on the floor yet, but P.J. has been with the team for awhile. I think their appearance in the rotation will make Boston unstoppable. I'm a fan of both of their games, so I'm eager to see them in green.

Sam will vary, he's expected to make the shootaround Friday from what I heard.

PJ is being eased back in I think FRI or SAT he'll get a few minutes and we'll go from there.

You have to factor in we have some easy teams coming up so a blowout situation will make it more favorable.

FRI CHI
[they played us tough, don't know post trade]

SAT (back to back scenerio) MEM
[they have quite a few bigs..PJ should be playing]

MON PHIL
(maybe.. I don't want Cassell guarding Louis)

WED SEA
(they suck, plenty of time for Sammy and PJ. Pretty good bet we'll see both this game)

I'll be at the Celtics vs. Memphis game, so I HOPE that I get to see ET play. One of my all-time favorites. Good to see him in Green. Hope we resign him for next season.

Both will see action over the next week. They will be needed on our trip through Texas. I'm sure that Cassell was given tape to learn about his new teamates, and being a veteran will pick up quickly on the court.
I think the Cassell signing will be the most benefit to T. Allen. Cassell will hit him for easy baskets when Allen slashes. Last year Allen drove to the basket and also slashed when he was a starter. This seems to be missing in his game this year, probably being that House isn't an assist guy which made Allen become more of a driver this year.

Sam is at least in game shape, I wouldn't expect much from PJ until the last 2 maybe 3 weeks of the season. He isn't extra now he is needed they will not risk injuring him by bringing him along too quickly.

PJ is old and out of basketball shape. He's been sitting at home in Louisiana, eating po'boys and gumbo. That's the life, if you ask me. But the guy has been on a team for week. I'll say it'll be at least another 3 weeks before he finally feels comfortable.

Sam will play asap because he's been in the grind for most of the year, injured or not. Just gotta get him through a few practices, learn the plays and go.
