Match-up of the Night

Image vs. Image

It may not be the "sexiest" match-up we've spotlighted, but it should be the one that decides who wins this game. In Washington's last win against the Raptors, Parker was held in check. He couldn't hit anything (except of course the last-second "dagger" that sent the game into OT) and was a big reason Washington was able to hang in there without Arenas and Caron, winning the game in the extra period. But the next time the two teams met, it was Parker who got the last laugh, hitting a good portion of his shots as the Raptors, led by Bosh, demolished the Zards. Much of the responsibility for keeping our offense on track and our perimeter defense tight will be DeShawn Stevenson. In general, when Mr. 50 has a good night, the Wizards win, especially when that jumper is falling. This should be a good battle tomorrow (or today, depending on what day you're reading this).

Looks like a big blowout. Should we really expect anything else? They will drain wide open threes all game.

Well, on the plus side, they don't have Bosh, meaning their post/inside presence who is completely un-guardable (at least against us) won't be available to draw double-teams. We should be able to get out on the shooters better than normal tomorrow. They have no good inside player.

i don't see the wizards pull this one of. Spirits were high when they realized they could win without caron and gilbert only to celebrate it with some awful losses, including this one to the raps. I guess we can expect some whoronto trolling soon. I am afraid this team is going to just pretend and ect as if they know how to play ball in the mean time trying there darndest not to lose by 30.

Wiz by 20 ... DeShawn Stevenson & Roger Mason = 82.

[/reverse psychology]

On a serious note, wizards always play with passion. This ain't going to be a easy game to overcome especially with bosh out.

Good Luck guys.

we never play well in the Air Canada CentRE (dumb Canadian spellings) with Gil and Caron, so without them, I really have to be pessimistic and expect the worst. Wiz loss by 15.

Toronto opens as 5 point favorites. That line is very fishy to me. Toronto should be at least a 10 point favorite at home despite not having Bosh against us. I just don't see any way that the Wiz make the game competitive but obviously Vegas knows something.

I'm usually the optimist, and it hasn't worked lately (when I've predicted) so I'll join the bandwagon...

Raptors by 23 (everything is 23!!! Where is Topsy Krevits when you need him!) Sorry... lame Jim Carrey Joke...

Didn't Bulletproof have something with 23 a few days ago???

Canadian spelling is the same as the British spelling (you know the country that english comes from). This from a nation of Whazup, and one word sentences such as "represent", "chill" etc.

Wizards by 7. No Bosh, No Arenas and Butler, we have more heart. Haywood and Blatche need to mix it up in the paint vs this soft Raptors team.

Lets not let this game thread get personal till after tip-off. Insults can be made in the no holds barred thread. Bringing national pride into this will only get peoples back's up

Word.

I pick the wiz because this game is more meaningful for them, they have terrific chemistry and will have a devastating post advantage if they coose to exploit it. Based on that expression on AJ's face after the ORL loss, I expect him to bring the hard hat, which is trouble for a Bosh-less raps team.

It'll be close, though. 2-3 points.

I think the Bullets will surprise us by keeping it reasonably close. However, Washington shouldn't win this game. The Bullets without Arenas and Butler simply are not in the class of a team like the Raptors. Washington needs to steal some games until their two best players return, but tonight will not be one of those steals.

Bullets 92

I think we're gonna go on a 2-3 game winning streak starting tonight with 2-3 double doubles from my boy AJ.
