Maybe we should have made the TMAC trade.

Post#1 » by Nowak008 » Fri Mar 7, 2008 5:08 am

If I recall correctly it was Redd/CV/ 1st for Tmac. At the time I was against it, but he is just on fire right now. The Rockets are on a 17 game winning streak, and just have been killing people including 5-0 after Yao went down. He finished the Mavs game with 31/9.

What do you guys think?

No, watching Michael Redd try to lead a bunch of nobodies into the playoffs is very entertaining.

Right now, the 2nd best player on the Rockets is Shane Battier, and the next is a toss up between Bobby Jackson, Luis Scola, and Carl Landry.

They are also doing it with a guy at point that chucks more than Mo, and is as bad on D.

Tracy McGrady > Michael Redd, and it's not even close to being close.

how confident are you guys that there was a tmac trade offer? No one from clutchfans heard anything about it and tmac even joked to reporters at how ridiculous some of the rumors are...

You couldn't really blame him this year though considering Yao is out and the West is stacked. And if he does manage to lead those scrubs out of the first round it would be pretty amazing. He might have some toughness issues, but he seems like a cool guy that loves the game...I'll be rooting for him and the Rockets for sure.

Yep. I was against it at first but if it came up again I would not hesitate on making the trade. Watching Mcgrady drive down the lane and than make the right pass to his teammate or if its the right opportunity to score...obviously he can do that too. I dont think Mcgrady gets nearly the credit he deserves on 1. Being a smart player and 2. Being a very good passer (especially around the hoop) Bogut would benefit from that a lot.

Yea thats right.

It probably won't last and the Rockets have a good chance of losing in the first round, but T Mac has been playing like a super star. If we had done this deal we would have breakin up our back court and added another playmaker on the team. Looks like we should have done it right now.

I liked the trade at the time and nothing has happened since that would lead me to change my mind. McGrady is an amazing talent and players like that don't find their way to Milwaukee to play for the Bucks very often.

I will proudly say I had favored the trade 100% when it was rumored.

If it was truly out there, thats the kind of move the bucks needed to make to bring in a legit star. He'd have to have attitude or injury issues and mcgrady was the latter.

And no Zach Randolph sucks and isn't that type of player (for the three fans that actually want him on the bucks)

According to GAD, Harris wasn't trying to make the Randolph trade.
