this was easily the dumbest trade of this year, the suns hit self-destruct with this trade.

I think the shaq trade will look better come playoff time.

The problem, PHX could possibly NOT make the play offs. They are only 3 games ahead of Denver at the 9th spot.

If they continue their bad play and miss the PO's then kerr could be sitting in a very hot seat this summer
let paid professionals do their job, don't you try and do it for them...

Would it be the failure of Shaq or just a bad fit? Unless that's what you implied.

It could be both, but it's waaaay too early to give the trade a "bust" label as of now.

I've watched him and PHX some since the trade, and clearly they are struggling with their identity. But Shaq looks as thin as I've seen him in a long long time.....

Let them get some reps together........and remember, the game slows down some when the playoffs begin. Now, if only PHX was assured of making the playoffs.......

I suppose, but he's looking pretty lethargic to me, and can't run on a run and gun team. His multiple championships have him too satiated, and he doesn't seem to have the drive anymore.

I agree, I've watched them play and they aren't in synch yet, but what can you expect with such a big change? Everyone seems eager to call this move a bust, which it might be, but I'll watch and see.

Admittedly I haven't seen all the games, but the times that I have tuned in it looked like he was bogging the offense down. I'm also one that is hoping that it won't work out, so that might be a factor too. But I saw the same slow sweeping moves, while everyone stood and watched. 18 boards is pretty good though, I'll have to take a closer look then.

Not as far fetched as it sounds either...

screw Shaq - he sucks and he is scum - I will cancel my season tickets if Shaq had anything to do with Orlando - he won't come here as a player, but if he ever bought the team I would cancel - I can't stand the bum and he totally sucks and is washed up.

You probably think Garrity is good to don't you since he hit that shot last night?

Yes I would take Foyle over Shaq, because I hate Shaq. I hate Shaq so much that I would put up with Garrity for another year if it meant no Shaq and Garrity sucks.

The good thing is that even Otis isn't stupid enough to sign Shaq - doesn't he have one more year after this under contract at $20m?

Screw Shaq - Shaq or BHill - I hate them both equally as much - that is saying a lot. If Shaq comes back in any capacity I am done with the Magic - season tickets cancelled and I am no longer a fan.

Well, 18 rebounds in a game is pretty good, but Noah got 20 today, so... maybe im wrong... how about 17 straight wins for Houston? Thats pretty good considering Yao is injured for what... 5 games? NBA is crazy and nobody told me it!!!

They just blew out the Mavs, and that made 17 straight.

Is the dreaded curse of the T-Mac finally over? Stay tuned... :)
Either way, hats off to Houston. No matter what happens from here 17 wins in a row is still 17 wins in a row.

Personally, I think it's too early to tell what's going to happen to any team in the playoffs right now. They don't start for six weeks. A lot can happen between now and then. I think the deal for Shaq was made with the playoffs, not the regular season, in mind. Mavs deal for Kidd isn't looking that great right now either. But that is right now. Let's see who makes the playoffs and what happens when they get there.

It is not about not liking Shaq it is about hating the guy. When he left Orlando as a punk kid he trashed the organization, the city, the team, etc. when he just wanted to go to LA.

The team didn't deserve trashing at that time - the team deserved trashing for the next 10 years to come when they were mismanaged beyond belief.

Shaq sucks - not disliked - sucks, hated, scum - that is what I was saying. And, I love that he'll take Phoenix and GHill down.

Now, my love goes out to DHoward, Hedo, Lewis, Jameer. And props for Dooling, Foyle is ok, Bogans and Evans ok and Cook has been ok.

No love for Garrity, absolutely none - he needs to go. Arroyo will not be missed by me. JJ - would like to see him play or traded for a need. Gortat - I like the guy - maybe good in the future. Auggie - no opinion.
SVG - tons of love - the guy is a great coach.
