Orlando has made at least five three-pointers in 63 straight games, dating back to last season, the longest such streak in the history of the NBA.

Speaking of all the antifans, where are they? Surely they can find something about this game that proves the team sucks, Otis should be fired, and JJ will never make it in the NBA.

Funny thing, Matty said before the game started that Haywood is one of the few centers that doenst melt at the sight of Dwight Howard but thats exactly what he did.

Yeah, he did last night, but usually, Haywood matches up well with Dwight (or at least better than most).

I watched Haywood for 2 years in Chapel Hill & thought he would make a decent defensive center. As for matching up with Dwight he will do the job until Dwight develops a wider set of moves around the basket because although Haywood is slow he still will be in the way & he has decent size... in two years he will melt...

BTW Wizards commentators suck ass. Everything Dwight did was like he charged Haywood over or he was over the cylinder, then when he hits a jumper its dead air.

and Haywood held his own.. Im watching the game cause I missed it yesterday, Dwight got most of his points vs Blatche. Offensively Haywood sucked but his defense was pretty good.

You didn't see him on his backside during the game? Dwight put a nasty spin move on him, and ate him up.

That was a very sweet play to watch but, honestly, if Dwight had not just gotten killed without a foul called on the trip down before it there almost certainly would have been a charge called against Dwight on that play.

I think Haywood does match up very well against Dwight inside and D12 has difficulty getting of his running hook against him. Dwight has started to adjuster by taking Haywood a little more outside and using his quickness and even (shockingly) a jumpshot to keep him offbalance. If we meet in the playoffs, I think we'll see more of Dwight a bit further out of the paint instead of posting so low to take advantage of his relative quickness advantage and negate Haywood's strength -- this should also set up additional alley-oop opportunities against a team who is not exactly stellar with weakside help D in the paint.

I think your getting Haywood confused with Etan Thomas...who normally does give Dwight fits when they play.

Verizon Center is pretty sweet, isn't it? The Wiz have lots of ten dollar seats so I catch a game usually once a month, plus whenever the Magic are in town, of course.

It's pretty nice, if a little antiseptic. Can't beat the location, though. Love the scoreboard. I was there yesterday for the Georgetown-Louisville game to decide the Big East regular season championship, and that place was absolutely on fire. Selling out a building that size for a college game, is pretty amazing in and of itself. I was sitting about 30 feet away from Patrick Ewing, and Condoleezza Rice exited through the tunnel I was at (I probably could've reached out and touched her for about .02 seconds before being mauled by her Secret Service detail).
