Its unbelieveable to see the Sixers and Nets ahead of us!

Post#1 » by td00 » Thu Mar 6, 2008 3:30 pm

2 teams is disarray and just looking to finish out the season and here we are behind both in the playoff chase.
Is there someone else who could get the Hawks to play more inspired going forward for the rest of the year?
Ex: GS brings in Nelson, and boom! they all of a sudden start believing.

We need to do this as well. We have not been injury prone this year, and Bibby has a 1/2 dozen games under his belt.

Someone at ASG step us and realize we need to improve now and not wait until we have no shot at the postseason.

Has anyone ever been hired this late in the year and taken their team to the playoffs? Avery Johnson? Hey, he replaced Nelson!

We don't have that type of coach in waiting. We won't have Larry Drew around next year as he is on his last year and he won't be promoted to HC if he doesn't get his opp this year.

Wake us ASG, the season is quickly slipping away! Hey, if we make a change before the Miami doubleheader, perhaps we can win both?

I don't see why the ASG is so reluctant for change. Sometimes change is needed just for the sake of change. I think firing Woody could do wonders for the team just to shake things up. Good point about Nelson, they weren't that much of a different team before him but he came in and inspired them.

We need a more inspiring coach like that, especially for young players. Woody is just too bland. We don't need a coaching genius, just someone who can be a good motivator.

We need to start winning now. We have looked a lot better with Bibby but ran against a compete buzzsaw in the last two games. If we don't beat Charlotte we might as well pack it in, because if we can't win a game like that we aren't going anywhere.

ASG are a bunch greedy s.o.bs. If they care about the Hawks, they would've done what BK tells them and get rid of Woody.

New Jersey won't make the playoffs IMO.

The Hawks have faced 2 teams below 500(two wins)and three teams above 500(three losses)since the road trip. The Hawks really can't afford to lose any of the next three games. Miami is awful and we've played really well against Charlotte(besides the collapse in the 4th quarter in the last game).

Can someone put some blame on the players? When are we going to show some freaking toughness and start winning road games? When are we going to show some poise and start executing at crucial times?

It is unbelievable to me also that we are behind these teams. The consensus opinion seems to be that we actually are the more talented and should be the 7 or 8 seed. We need to start winning and make a run RIGHT NOW.

Its unbelieveable you dont know what you are talking about

who is in disarray? the sixers or the hawks?
the sixers are making a playoff push two years in a raw.
they have young players who are turning into very good players.
they have a leader in Andre Miller and you got over the hill Bibby.
the Sixers have a new GM who know what he is doing and the Hawks have Billy Knight(enough said)
the Sixers have cap room in the summer to sign a star free agent ,
the Hawks cant even fire there own coach and wont give a contract extention to a ball boy.

just face it , the Sixers are a better team.

I actually don't think the Sixers are more talented than the Hawks but they are a better team. I watched the Sixers game against the Clippers and its SICKENING to see how much harder they play than the Hawks. They literally applied full court pressure after every made basket and they got the blowout win while we took the entire 1st half off against them and lost despite them missing Maggette and Kaman. I also see that Philly DESTROYED Seattle. The Hawks havent been able to maintain a big lead since the Chicago game about two months ago. I seriously don't think the Hawks realize they are in a playoff race. They have always been one of the dumbest teams in the league but now it looks like they have become one of the most laziest teams in the league.
