The way I see it

Post#1 » by is1531 » Sat Mar 8, 2008 1:43 am

I just don't think Iggy and Miller have any interest in passing the ball to Iggy or Carney.Iggy is playing for a contract and Miller is playing for the entire league.

Miller and Iggy find plenty of time to pass to Big Sam, Green and Evans.I just do not get it.Yes the 76ers are winning, but here in Philly it's easy to understand why people do not get excited at the games. They want Thaddeus to be a bigger part of the offense.Young is a totally unselfish player.

Carney is bad at shooting.

I don't know what Iggy and Miller are playing for, but whatever it is it's working.

Did you mean Thaddeus and Carney?

Is it wrong for the Sixers to want Young to be a part of the offense? He's good around the basket, and the Sixers lack a post prescence.

I think you missed my point.I want to see Iggy and Miller set up Young and Carney more. They are better scorers than Big Sam or Evans.

Young can create his own shot, but when I watch him cutting to the basket, Miller and Iggy look th other way. When Green, Big Sam or Evans are opened the ball is passed to them.

I don't care if Young is 19, his talent is unlimited. It's very hard to do your best when you know certain players are playing the seniority game with him.

If the 76ers are indeed in the playoffs, they will need Young to be a bigger part of the offense. Open the door and let Thaddeus in. Young is the reason I stay tuned in for the entire game.If Young had the same chances that Evans had tonight, Young would have scored 24 points. I'll take his 16 points, but thank goodness Iggy and Miller remained on the bench for most of the 4th quarter, so Iggy could showcase his talent. I loved every Thaddeus moment of the 4th quarter

Thanks for clearing that up

Young will get more touches, in time.

Notice how his playing time has increased since the beginning of the season. He'll have more opportunities as the season goes on, and especially if we make the playoffs.

there is no point to throw Thad into the wolves. He will get his in due time. We have to remember he is just 19. Thad will be the starting SF next year tho. I think he could average between 15-20 depending who we get in here next year.
Andre Miller is a bad 3pt shooter.

I don't quite understand what thread is talking about? Iggy, and Miller get other players involved, and can you blame them for not fully trusting a rookie. Did you not see the last sixers game against the bucks, Young played great with 22 points and as season goes and into the playoffs and into next season Young will be a bigger part of the sixer offense.

You know the thing I like about this team its not a one man show like (Allen Iverson) and btw were 11-3 since Super Bowl Sunday. This team can run, dunk and pass like no other, now for the next offseasons keep this core together and acquire some shooters and players who can score in the post. I really hope we don't waste our $$ in Free Agency if there isn't any premier free agents i dont think we should spend our money like Orlando did for their quick fix in Rashard Lewis and $118 mill contract we all know he doesn't deserve,Hedo is playing better then Lewis.
I don't think I Trust The Process anymore! :banghead:

Right now I think Carney is playing much better and I think he deserves Ollie's minutes as well as some of Green's minutes.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
