hammers: bobcats vs hawks

Post#1 » by fatlever » Sat Mar 8, 2008 4:09 am

another tough night for the hammers...

3 - felton - he as AWESOME after the first quarter. its so nice to see the return of our best play, the high pick and roll with felton and mek. how many times in a row did we run that play?

2 - carroll - 5/6 from 3. that was HUGE in the 3rd quarter. he really put the game out of reach.

1 - boykins - he didnt have the stats of dudley and okafor but i thought earl really changed the game when he was on the floor.

hm - okafor and dudley

great game

3-Hammer: those 3's were like daggers and the D was awesome. Great overall games
2-Ray: love the new ray!
1-Mek: I'll take 16 and 15 every game. After killing him last game, I needed to give him some love

HM:Lil Earl 2 in a row, looks like he shook off the rust and is playing for a contract

Did he enforce his will after the 1st or play soft all night?

Looking at the box score the thing that jumps out at me is that there are 5 players that had around 13 shots each.

I like that a lot.

I think that with our outside shooting coming along after the 1st quarter (we were down to 26% at one point...then ended with 51% for the game) it opened up and allowed him more room to maneuver. We started out trying to feed Mek (2 of 7 in the 1st) but they were helping on D pretty well...and he just wasn't that agressive. He got some great looks throughout, but was much more productive later on.

He owned the boards though.

Mek just doesn't look to be as "enthused" as the rest of the team right now. Still thinking to much I guess.

You'd have been proud of Hammer's D on JJ.

I think everyone should give a little HM to the front office for cutting McInnis, basically every game from here on out.
