Last I heard he would be back at the very end of March or beginning of April. He may be able to help for about 11 games this season.

That was what i saw in Yahoo it said:
"Mar 7 Brand, who can opt out of the final year of his contract, is likely to play with the Clippers next season, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Recommendation: "As long as everything is done fair, everything on the up and up . . . as far as negotiations or value or whatever it is that agents and owners go through, it shouldn't be too much of a problem to come back," Brand said. If the power forward stays on board next year, he will make $16.4 million. In free agency, Brand would not be able to earn that much. "

So i just wondering what should i do with brand....cuz i traded dirk for brand, but if he is not coming back...i might as welll drop him...

Where does it say in there that he's not playing this season?

He's been practicing in full contact trainings and while they are not rushing him to come back he might as well start getting minutes in a couple of weeks.

The deal was Dirk and travis outlaw for brand and grant hill......and back when i trade dirk....dirk was playing badly...so....

I don't think brand will play this season...cuz his team don't need him this season.....look at clipper's record.....if they play worst they might even have a chance to get first pick next season for the draft.....plus the coach said they don't want to pit brand back

When Dirk was struggling earlier in the year he was still a top 20 player, I don't really understand the logic in dealing him for a player that was on the waiver wire in most leagues.

In any case, whats done is done and if I were you I would not give up on Brand. The report that you cited was referring to his contractual situation and had nothing to do with his recovery. He should be back later this month or the 1st week of April. I am hoping for my teams sake that he comes back a bit earlier than that since he is practicing without many limitations.

lol..where in there does it SAY, he won't be back?..For us hardcore fantasy players we love to see REAL FACTS, Instead of what you think in this particular situation when it comes to the title..cause your title is misconceiving..

Anyways If you don't have any proof i say you hang on to Brand. No offence but you got nothing else to lose since you traded away Dirk for him...

1) That's probably the most horrible trade I've ever seen. How it wasn't vetoed ill never know. Some guy traded Dirk for Durant straight up in my league and I thought that was bad. Damn man......

2) After making a trade like that, I'd hold Brand out of principle. Even if I read his career was over and he went NA, i'd still hold him.

I have been in first place in my league with Brand taking up a roster spot all season long. Unless, I start falling behind in the playoffs or hear he is DEFINIATELY out I am holding onto him.

These guys tend to like to get back on the court before the end of the season. It is good for the psychy to not go 0 for the season.
