If they want respect, they need to show up. Didn't really do that last night in the 2nd half (normally it's the other way around).

if there respect is based upon postseason then boston should get no respect then. sure the have the most titles in nba history that when was the last time they won. and to me the only teams that need to get respect then is detroit and maybe clevland since they were in the finals last year. if we dont get respect than the celtics should get no respect.

Boston gets respect because they got 3 superstars in which have gone to the conference finals at one point in their careers. Then they have players on the bench who have been on teams who have finals experience. Hence Posey, Cassell.
Orlando gets no respect because they don't have barely playoff experience

Boston's big 3 have all been perinial playoff losers. They also do not have that much more playoff experiance than we do. Hedo, Dooling, Cook, Evans, Arroyo, and Shard all have a decent amount of playoff experiance. Dwight has only a series, but he did play on Team USA which helps prepare him some. We have more playoff experiance than most seem to give us credit for.

Well if we go back to when the teams were first started
Magic started in 1989 5 playoff series won 9 series lost 2 divisional champs and 1 conference champ
Cavs started in 1970 8 series won 15 series lost 1 divisonal champ and 1 conference champ
So the Cavs have been in the league for 19 yrs later and have only won 3 more playoff series. And in fact have 1 less divisonal champ than the Magic. Oh and also when the Magic won their divisional champs that was when there were 2 divisons in each conference instead of 3. So it was a bit harder to win the Divisional championship

OM, why are you bringing up old history when discussing who gets more respect now? only recent history is important, and all that matters is the cavs have lebron so theyll have more and always will respect till the end of time until the magic prove otherwise...thats just the way it works...

While I agree Cleveland is being overrated and I love Dwight Howard. LeBron has a lot more importance to his team than Dwight does to us. Orlando can win on a Dwight off night, Cleveland can't win without LeBron. LeBron is more important to his team than any player in the league...possibly ever.

Boston and the Lakers have? They get plenty of love based on nothing but regular season success.
Different story. Boston has three veteran stars who have all been to the conference finals this decade, not to mention the best record in the league. The Lakers have Kobe - one of the two best players out there and someone who has been deep in the playoffs many, many times - along with Pau Gasol and a great supporting cast. AND, one of the best records in the league...out west.
Orlando has been very impressive this season, and is starting to slowly turn heads. We've got a young, inexperienced team that was below .500 last year and wasn't expected to be too much better this season. We've got a lot more winning to do to really make a statement - and for us, that starts in the playoffs. I mean, look at Houston for example. 18-game winning streak, but still you don't hear much about them. The Spurs, with an 11-game winning streak, were getting more mention. Why? Prior playoff success. It'll come guys, it'll come. We need to just enjoy our team, and let the pieces fall into place. If we're deserving of respect, it'll come.

But comparing their playoff experience. They have more right?
