Who's missing the playoffs in the West of these teams.

I'd like to know what your thoughts are on the playoff picture in the West. Of course the actual seeding is impossible to determine because anything can happen now, but what's your guess as to who's missing the playoffs. There are 9 teams vying for 8 spots. Someone's gotta give =(.

Spurs and Lakers are virtual locks. I'd have to assume that with Houston being on a roll, it should carry them into the playoffs. Utah is unstoppable at home and is on a little streak themselves, so they should make it too.

Spurs
Lakers
Jazz
Rockets

That leaves us with the Hornets, Mavs, Suns, Nuggets, Warriors. Warriors have been playing solid basketball, they should get in as long as their core, especially Davis, stays healthy. The Mavs have a favorable schedule remaining and the team should get more accustomed to Kidd.

So that leaves us with the Suns, Nuggets and Hornets. The Nuggets have the easiest shcedule remaining and have had several big wins as of late. I think they'll make it in. That leaves just the Hornets and Suns. The Suns have been struggling and have a challenging schedule ahead of them. The Hornets though may be without West and with a tough schedule left, they could be the team left out in the cold. However, I think Paul's too good and should carry the Hornets, plus they're a great road team. Kinda weird to say, but I think the Suns are gonna miss out on the playoffs.

In terms of record....

1. Lakers
2. Spurs
3. Hornets
4. Jazz
5. Mavs
6. Suns
7. Rockets
8. Nuggets.

Warriors will probably be the victim in this year's tough Western Conference race.
