After watching the past couple of games I think Marcus should start. If we bring Devin off the bench its automatic offense plus between him and Boki thats like 25 off the bench a night from two players.I thought Devin would be a better starter but we were actually playing better with Marcus cuz he's a better playmaker and he's knocking down three's pretty consistently.

It doesn't matter who starts, we're going to get the crap kicked out of us regardless.

well heres my plan and this would take effect in the offseason, trade vc and rj, maybe krstic, get lots of talent make marcus the pg, and harris the sg, adress the sf in the draft and get a 7ft who can who has post moves
Even as a VC fan I think the Nets would be smart to at least inquire about moving VC and even RJ in the offseason. Unless the Nets Mgmt knows something more (negative) about Krstic they should try to keep him.
Why do some people on this board think Harris can succeed as a SG. Now that i've seen him a bit he seems more of a tweener. If he gets slotted in at the 2 he will be an undersized & underpowered one that has a questionable shooting stroke but then again I don't see natural passing instincts and starting pg handles on him either.
Also in your scenario the Nets would then have to find the two hardest positions to fill - Center (and no there isn't that many easily available 7ft who has post moves ....) and PG (someone would have to backup Marcus if you decide to put Harris at the 2).
The team as it is now needs a tougher frontcourt. Diop over Boone to me is the obvious change that should be done immediately and this would only work w/ a productive/healthy frontcourt partner of Krstic.
Obviously the Nets need bench help - specifically Bowen (ugh) type players than can defend well and consistently make open shots.
The most important thing this team needs is an identity. Right now the only identity they have is a halfcourt offense but they don't know if their an iso team, ball movement team, 3pt oriented team, post scoring team, and those are the identity problems only on offense. They also have no identity on defense - they lack toughness at all 5 positions and their best defensive frontcourt player (Diop) has no offensive skills and their promising defensive player (SWat) is to busy trying to pad his block shots stats that he forgets that in the NBA team defense wins. Lack of identity is partly players fault but it's also a result of the decisions or lack thereof made by Management & Coaching Staff.

I don't think making Harris an SG is a wise move...why do people keep thinking we should do this? Also, marcus hasn't shown he is still capable of being an effective starter for this team. I wouldn't be against keeping both of them honestly, Marcus' play has improved a lot.
Krstic should not be shopped, he seems to be on his way back.
carter and jefferson should be put on the block, not out of spite, but because it would be a wise move to see what we can get in return for those two.

imho
Marcus should start and play 35 minutes
Devin Harris should be a 6th man like Ben gordon as a combo guard and also get 35 minutes.
The Nets were winning with this scenario. Since they changed up Harris's play fell off the table and the team lost every game. It's not about who is better--it's about balance and chemistry and where a player fits to get the most out of him.

That is where Frank comes in.
IMO MWill is the better pg.
Frank needs to have him control the team. Let him know he is the PG. Do u guys remember how MWill and Boone would come off the bench and just Pick and Roll? Imagine that with SWill too. Harris is an effective scorer and defender. The guy is quicker then everyone. Him leading the break wont work. He would leave everyone behind.
