Team Lebron vs Team Kobe

Post#1 » by J-Mezzy » Fri Mar 7, 2008 8:13 pm

Team Lebron:

Chris Paul
Manu Ginobili
Lebron James
Kevin Garnett
Dwight Howard

6th man D Wade.

Team Kobe

Steve Nash
Kobe Bryant
Tracy McGrady
Tim Duncan
Yao Ming

6th man Carmelo Anthony

I saved Wade and Carmelo off the bench to provide a spark offenssively and to even things a bit. Team B is the better shooting team and team a is the more athletic team (any team with Lebron and Dwight would have and edge there).

Who do you got?

Kobe and Duncan togher on the same team?

Its already over. Duncan and Yao are way better post up players than KG and Howard. you're winning on the interior AND the perimeter with Kobe.

How about this:

Steve Nash
Dwyane Wade
LeBron James
Kevin Garnett
Tim Duncan

vs.

Steve Nash
Dwyane Wade
Kobe Bryant
Kevin Garnett
Tim Duncan

Hehe...

I'll take the Kobe team in wiggles case, because of outside shooting. Lebron is a pretty good shooter (depends), but he isn't as good as Kobe. Although, on the other hand, I think Kobe may be a bit undersized at SF for some 3's in the league. So it can go either way -- Although Kobe's production at the 3 is awesome.

Also, with either team, I'd have someone other than Wade. Wade is really good, but I'd go for a defender/shooter. KG and Timmy are the best 4/5 option IMO (even though Duncan plays the 4) --thats just downright nasty.

As for Nash, I'd personally go with Chauncey Billups with this kind of team. Don't loose out too much on the three point shooting, but you get a good defender. I don't see this team breaking all that often -- although, Nash having Lebron/KG breaking with him is pretty awesome.

----------------------------------------------------------

For the OP... I pick the Lebron team.

Kobe and Tmac are a bit redundant. Where as Manu +Lebron works very nice. Having Nash on a team with Yao + Duncan doesn't make much sense - by all means though, I'm just simply not a Nash fan (except for his exceptional shooting). Lebron Team also wins easily on the boards, Lebron/KG/Dwight is just amazing on the boards. You have to worry a bit about Yao's fatigue. Really the only think I like about team Kobe is, the Kobe+Duncan duo.

Also, I don't like the 6th men... I don't know if Melo or Wade come off the bench, even for such a great team.

Team Paul is good but I still have to go with Team Kobe because of the duncan/kobe duo.

Team Kobe.

Tmac at his best, is almost as good as Lebron but Manu at his best (like now), is still a level below Kobe. And Duncan just seals it.

Team Duncan ftw

He will anchor ur defense and offense,

high screen picks will benefit nash, tmac, kobe if they like to shoot after a screen.

Team lebron? replace cp3 with billups then you got yourselves a good team there...

Like Lebron + Dwight wouldn't?

Anyway, I think I'd have to go Team Kobe too... though it's close. Lebron's squad would be a fastbreak nightmare though.

I actually think Team 1 would fit better too, like Telsa said. Duncan-Yao is redundant in terms of style of play, and McGrady and Kobe though games are different like to the same things on the floor while Garnett's high post game with Howard's low post game and the all around games of LeBron, Manu and Paul IMO would at least gel faster than Team 2.

Though in a playoff series, I'd think Team 2 would be more dominant. Duncan and Kobe? That's ridiculous.

Kobe and Duncan = sweetness. Team Kobe is better.
