jeff van gundy is a idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post#1 » by thaAteam » Sun Mar 9, 2008 7:57 pm

first the moron says rafer alston is playing like the best pg in the nba
billups, paul, williams, nash, kidd just to name a few playing better, then he says the rockets are on the best stretch he has seen ever going 27-2 in the last 29 games, was he not alive and coaching in the sw division last season when the mavs had a 50-5 stretch?

He's just giving his former team some love. I have no problem with it. They have been very impressive.

Well to be fair he said that's the greatest stretch he's seen considering Yao who's an All-NBA player went out for the season and we've continued the winning ways as of now. Still a stretch considering even his Knicks without Ewing went to the finals but kind of a different situation from the Mavs last season.

Hey trust me I'm as surprised as you are and I'm a Rockets fan.

But.... :o Rafer Alston has been playing like he has been a top PG during our winning streak.

If you can average 16pts, 6ast, 40% shooting from 3, it means something when your team goes 27-2, while winning 18 straight. The PG's job is to help teams win games, and thats what he has been doing.

He's not stupid, he is just expressing his opinion, if you ask me, he is one of the best commentators on ESPN/ABC right now, I think many of you would agree.

JVG is not an idiot. He never said "Rafer Alston is the best PG in basketball" at all, he said "Rafer Alston is playing as well as any PG in the NBA," which is different. What you're thinking of is Mark Jackson putting words in JVG's mouth.

He's right. If the Suns don't get it together then they'll find themselves in trouble soon.

See this is what I like about JVG. The general fan can't imagine that one of the lesser players at a position can have a stretch better than a more accomplished player, but it happens all the time. ITs called insightful analysis.
