5 Seconds left in the game? Who do you want taking the shot

Post#1 » by B-Scott » Mon Mar 10, 2008 5:36 am

It's 5 seconds left in the game and you have a choice. You can pick any player in the NBA to take the shot. Who are you picking?

Even though i believe Kobe is the MVP,im going with Lebron

I have never seen a guy win so many games in the closing seconds on drives to the basket as Lebron does.

Forget winning the game with a jumper. Lebron will win it with a layup which is crazy considering the defense is focused on him in that situation.

So you will choose Kobe's fadeaway 20 footer over Lebron's layup

its gotta be lebron because the argument that he gets to the hoop rather than hoisting fadeaways over doubleteams is accurate.

I'd still take Baron to go 1 on 1 and take it up strong or hit the jumper (vs. LAL/BOS)

LMAO LAMAR ODOM.

lamar odom will give you nothing but air with 5 sec left while being left unguarded from a kwame pass.

Or he drives to the right with his left hand and gets blocked by freakin paul gasol. (one of the most memorable game i watched last season where i broke my remote by chucking it into the screen.)

lamar is the antithesis of clutch.

Kinda funny that you come out of the woods when the Lakers loses and always try to find a way to show ur hatred towards Kobe.

Kobe misses the last shot... "Who would you want take the last shot with 5 seconds left"

Gasol has a better game than Kobe... "Gasol is the real MVP of the Lakers"

If I can vote a so-called Laker fan off, you would be first.

B-Scott had to come out of his layer. I thought we had him sealed in his room for good 20 games or so.

The question was "It's 5 seconds left in the game and you have a choice. You can pick any player in the NBA to take the shot. Who are you picking?"

Shot implies jumpshot. The question does not say who's hand do you want to be in to do what they do.

That said, I'd take Nash, Manu and Kobe over Lebron because they are better clutch shooters.

Actually last game i called Kobe the MVP for this season and in this particular thread i said the same thing.

This post is not about who is the best player or the MVP. Its about who would you want taking the last shot with 5 seconds remaining.

6-8 245 pounds with great quickness and finishing ability at the rim,is not a bad choice.
