It appears we'd be happy either way. He can opt in for the player option, or leave and we could convince Brand to opt out and sign him. He is probably going to opt in as the only teams with cap room are probably not interested in a 30 year old guy like Marion and have guys at the SF position already.
Most of us don't see Marion as a long term option due to him not being a guy who creates his own offense as a second option, but I guess that all depends on the draft pick too.
My guess is he opts in, and we let him expire next year when there's a better FA pool, or we trade his expiring at the deadline for a better fit.

So the best we can now hope for is the 2nd worst record and a little luck for once
I would be very happy with either Beasley or Rose, but would feel pretty jobbed if we got neither. I think our team is legitimately as bad as its record, unlike some others that are bad due to injuries, trading away their pieces during the season, tanking, etc.
IIRC the Wolves have never had a top 2 pick, even with all their bad seasons. If we slip to 3 or lower it'll be like the year we had the worst record but missed out on Shaq and Zo, and had to settle for 'Sister' Christian Laettner.

All your balls are belong to us.

I am not worried because it is the lotto and it is more luck then % chances. I would rather get a couple wins and develop a winning mentality that we can add a rookie to.
