Do you think that Gilbert Grape will be asking for anything less than max?

TheRevTy wrote:Arenas might consider Orlando for the following reasons:
He and Otis were, and remain, incredibly close from Otis's stint in Golden State. Otis actually served as Gilbert's mentor his rookie year.
Arenas loves to have fun while playing the game, and he has to get along with his teammates in order to thrive. Orlando is a prime opportunity for this. (Incidentally, I think he has run his course in Washington. In his absence, the mentality of the team has changed from a happy-go-lucky team to a "get down to work, no non-sense" team, led by Caron Butler. Gilbert has to see this.)
2 words: Super. Man.
Arenas would no doubt relish the opportunity to play the KG role: superstar that comes in and pushes a team over the top. He would be revered and with the combination of Dwight and Arenas, two young media-friendly superstars, he would get maximum exposure.
Finally, he would work well on the team because Stan would finally get the chance to coach Dwyane and Shaq, only better. (Remember, Stan played Dwyane primarily as PG.)
How could Gilbert be added? I think the conversation has to involve Hedo Turkoglu. Washington already has a pretty stellar SF in Butler, so I don't know. But I think Otis would strongly consider making a hard push for Agent Zero.

I would assume since you said it, it is "your opinion" and what the hell is a "cope out"?
You have posted nearly the exact same thing over 100 times in the past 3 months. You should just copy and paste. 40-23 and you never, ever have anything to say about anything other than your dislike for Rashard.
Cassie or Richboy or whomever else you post as - can you please just shut up or come up with something original to say? And do not go into your 3rd grader defense about how important you are because I am posting in response to your garbage. It is simply a matter of enjoying this board and some of the threads a whole lot more when there isn't some clown interjecting the same crap in EVERY damn thread.
Actually, I take that back. Occasionally you do like to talk about how the Magic's wins are meaningless due to the competition....errr....well...only when the competition is bad. You never say a word when we beat a good team.
Cassie = Troll.

Its like if you don't want to listen then press the button. Yet here you are again every few weeks crying about my post. My only reasoning is there a reason why you two wont press the ignore button. Well when you know what that reason is then tell me. Until then stop the constant crying about my or anyones post.

I think you should stop complaining about people complaining about you. Perhaps you should use the ignore button.
Unless you just crave the attention ...
richboy wrote:I press ignore and then you still complain I just dont reply. You still hijack the thread. You press ignore there nothing to complain about. You don't read the post and there no going off topic to make post like this.
I have no problem discussing issues with you and fishy. Obviously fishy and perhaps yourself have issues the other way. Instead of posting on topic were talking about if richboy is negative. If your going to consistently hijack threads with that topic then at some point just press the ignore.

TheRevTy wrote:Oh, and my final, and weakest, point, though I feel it deserves mentioning: if there ever was a superstar who actually WOULD take a pay cut in the middle of his prime to play for a better, funner (more fun?) team, it would be Mr. Coin Flip himself.
The emphasis of my post though was that it is possibly Otis would look into a sign and trade deal for Mr. Arenas. That might be one of the few luxury tax scenarios Devos would allow due to the cash flow having Agent Zero would create.
While it is certainly a long shot, I would put us in the top 5 teams to land Gilbert this summer.

TheRevTy wrote:Would you do a deal of Hedo and Jameer for Gilbert? I don't know that Washington needs Hedo or would even really want Jameer. Maybe a three-way involving Toronto? Something like Hedo, resigned Dooling, JJ and Fran to Toronto, T.J. Ford and Bargnani to Washington, and Gilbert to Orlando? The salaries are probably pretty far from matching, and maybe even the talent, but something like that? Or maybe involving Portland?

I have no idea of his medical situation, but he has missed a significant part of the past two seasons with a knee injury. If he checked out fine, I wouldn't let that stop me, but then again, I haven't gone on for years about how the Magic should have known there was something wrong with Grant Hill and it was the worst signing in the history of the universe -- even if most of the league undoubtedly is interested in signing him.
