Lakers tough remaining schedule

i took a peek and its not gonna be a stroll in the park people.

i counted 11 more guaranteed wins from here till the playoffs

and left out iffy games like

1 more with utah
2 more games with New Orleans
1 with houston
2 more games with dallas
2 with golden state
2 more with portland
1 more with spurs

Im not phased out by the iffy games btw. But the one team that l left out that might give us trouble is memphis... You know kwame might come out with a vengeance and drop 50 on us and not even fumble the ball once! eh? lol kekekekeke.

We only play the Spurs once, and it's on our home court. The last game of the season is against Sacramento. Also, all the teams that we play twice, one is at home and one is on the road. I see us having maybe one or two more home losses, and going winning 50% of the remaining games (against tough teams) on the road. The Warriors I think we'll take both times because we have that mental edge over them, and I have a good feeling that we'll take both from the Hornets as well.

As difficult as our remaining schedule looks, NO, SA, and PHO have it much worse.

Even if the Lakers were to play the Spurs twice, where is the irony in that?

Mental edge over the Warriors? GSW beat the Lakers the last time they met in Oracle Arena. I'd say, if Biedrins has not recovered from his appendectomy and/or is not in top physical shape, the Lakers would have a "physical" edge over the Warriors.

I believe no games are "guaranteed" in sports as the OP has stated. If they were, the Lakers wouldn't have lost to teams like Nets, Bucks, Hawks and Portland.

Let's just hope the Lakers do well...very well.

Yes, mental edge.

The Warriors pulled that last game out primarily because Kobe was injured (groin) late in the game and Phil did not get him out of there, which allowed the Warriors to go on a run and pull out the W. Kobe could not stay in front of Davis and that was the deciding factor in the game.

Historically speaking, we had won 9 in a row against the Warriors, and I'm sure if you go back further it'll show that we've dominated the Warriors for quite some time. A part of that is that we match up well with them, but even Baron Davis admitted that we have a clear mental edge against them, which they were able to overcome with their last victory.

I wish the Lakers beat the Spurs in the final game to see how ready they are for a deep run in the playoffs.

Also with GS should be fun to watch, as well as Utah and the red-hot Rockets. The Rockets play some nice defense and have deep even with Yao out.

NOH are looking good, but we have to beat them no problem.

GREAT!!

we need to see this team and how they fare with stronger teams in our conference. its good to figure out where we stand now, rather than figure it out in the playoffs.

those are all contenders for the crown to represent the WConference.

and i would like to get pau and our other interior guys toughened up

12 games you named. i think it would be good a 10-2. Losses i guess one with dallas for the revenge an one of the lasts with spurs.

according to hollinger's rankings, the lakers have the 4th hardest schedule for the year.

As far as combined winning percentage of opponents remaining goes, LA has the 5th easiest schedule for the remainder of the season. Only NY, Minnesota, Portland, and Memphis have easier schedules going forward.

To set the record straight. We play the spurs only one more time and it's our second to last game of the season. It's on Sunday April 13th @ SA. They lead the series 2-1

What happened to the guaranteed wins, nermindee? The Kings controlled the Lakers all 48 minutes (unlike the 43 minutes the last time they played each other).

More losses to Warriors, Bobcats, Grizzlies and Portland. Now the Lakers are 1.5 games out of 1st place. Doesn't it hurt?
