The Sixers have blown out the opposite team in their last 3 games, by at least 20 points. And they won against Phoenix before that. This could be a very interesting game, but with the way we are playing right now, we should win this one.

Whoa, isn't he kinda small to play power forward? Its been working though so I guess you can't mess with the lineup.

Hopefully this is another blowout. We have a big road trip coming up in Texas.

Cassell has been activated, Scal deactivated.

http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball ... tivat.html

Celtics new point guard Sam Cassell could make his debut tonight against the Sixers. The two-time NBA champion, who was signed a week ago, will be activated for tonight's game. Forward Brian Scalabrine will be inactive to make room on the active roster for Cassell.

He will definitely make his debut. I can't see him sitting on the bench the whole game. It was a different case with Brown, who wasn't really in shape and sat out his first game suited up.

Well he's 6-8...I think his ability to play PF is kinda Marionesque...He plays above average defense, and at least offensively is able to beat most PF's...He has an incredibly developed low post game for such a young player, and shoots above 50%...He might actually be our solution at PF, if he can grow an inch or two, seeing that he's only 19, and that frame can easily add an extra 20-30 lbs...

I just realized that the last 2 times we played the celtics, Evans was our PF, just cuz Garnett isn't your average PF...So Evans may start after all, but I wouldn't be surprised if Thad was kept, as we've been really successful with him. He played great D on Amare the other night we beat the Suns.

If Thad is starting, we need to give the ball to Perkins and let him know what it means to guard a 280 pounder. If not then let the rookie jump at Garnett's pump fakes.

Actually we may just go to Garnett anyways with Sammy on him. Once we get some ball rotation we should be able to get some layups for Perk or Rondo and some shots for Ray Allen.

I think Iggy is going to counter effect Pierce and give him a tough game tonight with Pierce focusing on defense himself unless Iggy thinks he should help defense everyone... then in that case Pierce will hit his jays

although Thad has been starting recently, Mo has switched to Evans against some of the bigger post tandems. I wouldn't be all too surprised to see Young come off the bench tonight.

That's getting the job done against the teams you are supposed to beat.

They've pretty much been doing what we did earlier this season guys. This a'int no MEM team. Should be a good fun game. For a running team Andre Miller makes a suprising limited amount of mistakes.

And Thad Young has some talent on that post despite his weight. Andre Miller is a decent PG defending. AI2 is good all around, and can play very bothersome D.

This game will be watchable. Besides Garnett and the defense the clear advantage we have over them is 3 point shooting. I expect a game without constant double digit leads like MEM and CHI was.

I'm intersted to see how we play, I've wondered if we struggle with athletic teams and lord knows they are athletic.

philly is on fire since before the all star break.

just blowing out teams.

and sam dalembert is depressed. figures.

even though they are a sub .500 team, they are not playing like one. looks like they will lock of the 7th seed with a cushion even.

it would be pretty ironic when the sixers make the playoffs and the nuggets don't!
