Rafer's Value ?
Like somebody mentioned b4, the guy looks like Chauncy Billups at times and he's improved in just about everyway possible. I would keep this guy over an aging Kidd and maybe even Steve Nash. He brings an element that makes up for what those guys could bring. Tenacity is the key word.

I don't know about Nash, but Kidd; as of right now no I wouldn't trade him for Alston, because with Kidd the teammates will get better, but with this team you need to find every possible way to score points, and Kidd doesn't do that. Nash its a different story as he can score points, and makes the teammates better.

Skip has been great over the course of the streak. If he can keep it up he is up there with the top PGs in the league. His problem has always been consistency. Guys like Kidd, Billups and Nash are consistent players. They do what they do every night. Rafer is a journey man that has found a home. He has been inconsistent his whole career and up until this win streak..he has been inconsistent his whole Rocket career.
He has all the skills of a top PG. But he is so inconsistent. Some nights he is making his layups. Some nights he is making shots. Other nights he is bricking everything.

Calm down there buddy, I'm as happy as the next guy with the way he's playing but that's as homer as can be.

He's one of those type of players that have more value to us then he'd to other teams.

Everybody who has been here knows that I was backing Skip from day one three years ago when Mike James was blowing up and chucking more shots per game than Chris Bosh and Yao Ming but lets not get too carried away here.
The crazy thing is your not the first or only person I have heard say this recently.
