IMO you don't gain much by beating a bad team in the first round except to say we are out of the first round.

why woudl you want the sixers to be the 6th seed? they'd be very scary to paly in the first round, especially with andre miller, jameer is his bitch.

People who thought we'd miss the playoffs and win 37 games shouldn't be posting in a postseason related topic.

I think Washington is more dangerous than Philly. I'd take NJ too though.

I dont think Arenas is gonna be 100% or close to it this year. When he came back from surgery back in November he was awful and was holding that team back, clearly nowhere near ready and then had a second surgery and has been out since. I expect him to struggle alot when/if he comes back at some point this year. Butler has an injury in a critical area that could be lingering and its possible he wont be 100% at any time the rest of the season.

I want Washington in the 1st round because:

1) they will push this team and that will make them play better.

2) i don't want them playing down to their competition

3) if the magic face the Wizards in the first round. I'm going to DC to catch a playoff game. That time i was at a Wizards game was for college night and it was called the MCI Center... 8)

Does it really matter who we face in the 1st round? We should be able to beat any team. If we don't - we're simply too lame as a team.

Atlanta.

Out of Philly and Washington...I'm not sure yet. I want to see how the Wiz Kids play if/when Arenas and Butler come back.

However, we should be able to beat either team. Or at least, we'd be the favorites of course.

At one level, I agree. Any team 6-8 is flawed. To "wish" for one over the other is an overt statement of non-faith in the Magic roster.

From 5-8, the Magic at home would be favored in a series. THe media would take Cleveland over Orlando, but most faithful would believe in the Magic; at 4. At 1 and 2, it is clear that the Magic need breaks to win a series over either Detroit or Boston.

THe Magic have a series in 3-6 that must be won. It is critical for the growth of this team.
