Oh, so now you are changing your question ? You just asked me if I thought Mo Cheeks had any rhyme or reason to his rotations ? I said YES. There was nothing in your original question about STEADY ROTATIONS. They are two entirely different things. So, you may wish to get your question straight before trying to get an answer.
Well, guess what ! You don't have to be able to decipher it. You don't play a role in the success of the Sixers.I certainly can't decipher it for myself.
In fact, I don't think the players can either
Oh, so what is the source of that insight ?
First of all, for me, this is not about winning or losing and blame... I wouldn't care if the Sixers lost tonight. I just wanted to see them compete.
They did compete ... and very well I thought. They gave a good account of themselves and came up short. They are not as good as the Celtics.
Thad gives them the best chance to compete against a superior team like Boston. He provides intangibles unlike anyone else on the roster.
That is your opinion. It is Mo Cheeks job to decide when and where to use him.
I'd much prefer you engage in dialogue about Mo than resort to personal attacks. I happen to love the guy. I've heard your general stance

So I should probably lock every thread on this board, since we don't have any direct effect on anything in regards this team, right?
Seriously, you gotta knock this off. It's annoying.

Well, that is not unbelievable to me ... that is who they are. They are not a good shooting team. They win by getting fastbreak points and lobs to the basket for dunks. If they have to rely on jumpshots, they are finished. That is why they lost tonight, Boston kept them from getting fastbreak points and dunks.

Well, I have been reading a lot of annoying stuff too ... and, I don't think it is as bad thing to let some people know that.

We are not in Boston's league right now. Doesn't mean we can't enjoy our young team start to come together into a playoff team and maybe eventually more. Fortunately in two years our core will be 21-28 and Boston's big three will be 33-35. By the time we might be contenders they will be on their last legs.
Moving right along...
Hope we somehow bounce back and win one of the next two.
At least Atl lost and NJ is getting trounced.

I appreciate your thorough response, dond, but with all due respect, your deference to the coaching staff is rather extreme... Coaches make mistakes all the time. For example, look at how joe gibbs called two consecutive timeouts and cost his team the game in washington this past year. The fans have every right to criticize. That's what American sports are all about. We invest in our teams with time, money and emotion. If not for some spirited debate and dialogue, what exactly is the purpose of this forum?
Sometimes coaches are just plain wrong in their assessments. IMO tonight would have been a much closer game if Thad was utilized differently.

The same place you are when he has a great game...
This reminds me a lot of the games in the early Iverson years. The team is outclassed, Iverson lays an egg, and you hope they learn. Iguodala didn't have a poor game...really got them going early, but he didn't have a great game either. 17/7/5 is pretty close to his average...it's not like he got shut down. Everyone would have liked to see him play better, but he didn't have a great outing.
Send Em, this is where all of your nonsense posts put any logical posts off of the radar. Every post I read from you tonight is negative to Iguodala...is he the reason they lost?? I can get a better basketball discussion from my daughter when I change her diaper.

Getting PJ will be huge for them down the stretch. I forgot how chippy he is...perfect NBA playoff big man. They have a lot of guys on the bench to take their fouls and keep teams that can't shoot foul shots (like the Sixers) off rhythm. The second round of the Eastern playoffs should be great. This team is talented enough to win like the Bulls, but now they have 'dirty' or 'crafty' (depending on your point of view) players in PJ Brown and Posey, and even Cassel to get into an old Detroit bad boy style of play. Powe and Davis give them some younger bigs who are tough as well.
They will be a tough out...Detroit and even Lebron could do it, but it will be tough.

Good game to you too.
Good game.
I'm glad it is getting back to where I get really angry when we lose to the C's. I hope they get to match upin the playoffs while the Sixers are on their way up and the C's are still strong.
Those two teams being amongst the worst in the league was a sad state of affairs for longtime NBA fans.

It will be tough though...the Celtics have a 2 year window of being this good/great. If the Sixers plan holds true, they will be in the upper tier of teams in 2 years...that year should be fun, but the Celtics will be on the downhill slope when the Sixers are reaching their peak years and they'll (Celtics) have to start rebuilding again.

Fire ... It is not the criticism of the coach that is the spur under my saddle. It is the arrogance with which it is sometimes administered that drives me nuts. I have no problem with someone indicating that they would like to see certain players utilized in a different manner but ... and I have said this a few times ... when it is accompanied with some sort of inference of incompetence on the coaches ability to coach, then I find it objectionable. I believe in giving the coach, who is much more qualified than I, the benefit of the doubt on decisions like that. He might have a different view of things for whatever reason but he is not a terrible coach because he does not do what you or I think he should be doing. Especially when it is clear (at least to me, it is) that Mo Cheeks is doing a pretty good job and does not deserve that sort of criticism on a regular basis.
