The Knicks are a Laughingstock in their own building...

Post#1 » by ArmstrongInGreen » Tue Mar 11, 2008 3:16 am

Ok so I'm watching Pete Sampras play Roger Federer in an exhibition match at MSG and John McEnroe is talking to Federer and he just rips the Knicks a new one....

McEnroe - "So I heard you are into hockey and basketball. Did you grow up watching the Rangers and the Knicks...(pause)...well no one watches the Knicks right now"

Federer (and crowd) - "LAUGHTER"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

For the record Federer won the match 6-3, 6-7, 7-6

All i got to say is yeh baby

We can finally stick it to those pompous, bad smelling, delinquent new yorkers who think they live in the greatest city on earth and dont give anyone any respect.

Yeh BABY, nothing makes me happier baby, than to see the Knicks crumble.

It is fun to see the Knicks twist in the wind ... but I can't share the smelly New Yorker sentiment.

You know man, just my opinion but I think you're off to a really bad start on this board.

Heh. I don't take so much glee in the Knicks sucking. I wish they were passable so when the C's come to town they can put up a good game. The league is better with a decent Knicks team..

They clearly need new ownership though..

It's been a looooonnnnngggggg time since Houston and Co. made them contenders, I feel for the knicks fans, it was pretty recent that we were in a similar plight....thank god that DA chose to rebuild when he did and even though the lottery gods didn't favor us, one Big Al put us over the top and got us KG or we'd be right there with them. Think about that.

We have been down for 20 years. I cannot wish this upon other people. I hope that the Knicks can turn things around and become a good time. I like the A. Houston, L. Sprewell team. Larry Johnson was cool.

...don't get me wrong, I equally dislike the knicks and the celts...but that was absolutely the most delusional thread I've ever read...haha, knicks...

...good luck in the playoffs...

haha, i just think it's funny that McEnroe is knick-bashing at MSG and the crowd is laughing about it....

as far as basketball is concerned, i don't care either way if the knicks are good or bad but i am simply entertained by the trainwreck that is thier franchise. it's kind of like a reality tv show....

that and my best buddy is a huge a fan of the knicks as i am with the C's so i basically enjoy unconditionally busting his balls whenever i want....

although he decided to be a cocksmooch and 'officially adopt' the LA Lakers as his team for the rest of this season just to spite me...

anyone remember Walt Frazier, DeBusscher (sp?), Bradley, Reed, who else? Damn, they were a cool team. (not as good as the celtics, but still a classy team)
