I agree.... people are so fickle.

How are people in there right mind goign to be willing to fork over a couple thousand for season tickets next year on a team that is filled with quitters from the "star" player to the coach/gm...

so you read it and thought I said something I didnt and then after telling you thats not what I said you read it again quoted it and higlighted it and then still thought that I said people pay to go to games to see Riley?
I said why would anyone pay money to see a team filled with quitters? Your star player is a quitter and your head coach/GM is a quitter what arent you understanding? They quit on you, you spend time watching this team, talking about this team, they wouldnt do the same for you and they proved it by quitting on YOU the fan with 20 games left in the season. Are fans who bought season tickets going to get a refund for the games from now on (it should have been a while ago)? Will the players not get paid for these 20 games? How can people buy season tickets when your star player quits and your head coach/GM quits? How? This is a mans sport and a man would fight till the end and wouldnt curl up in a ball and take a beating.
Im under the impression that Wade could have played the rest of the season without reinjuring his knee but instead decided to cut the season short and get the shock wave therapy, meaning he quit, much like Eddy Curry is going to QUIT if he elects to have surgery before the season is over.

You don't seem to be grasping the $$ concept of this sport, because it's more than just a player wanting to play, when his advisors are saying otherwise and everything else related to this part of the game.--Re-read what I wrote in the latter part of my post, and it will cover what you posted here about, again!
The team, as a whole, has to do what's best for the team.--Because using your concept, teams shouldn't sit/rest players with 5-6 games left in the season as they are getting ready for the post-season, even if they have their seeding already locked up, but yet it STILL HAPPENS. Where's your gripe with that?
since when in the world are you a frikking doctor who's worked with such issues, over and over and has said otherwise?Im under the impression that Wade could have played the rest of the season without reinjuring his knee but instead decided to cut the season short and get the shock wave therapy,
Did you not read what I said previously abou this prognosis from his surgery as stated by his DOCTOR? Or, did you convieniently ignore it to spew the same non-sense once again?

It's yet to be 12 months......Flash3 wrote:because if you would've read the diagnosis and the reports (a plenty) as Wade's surgeries came to an end, and his season was starting, it was clearly stated by his Doctor (Dr. Selsnick), that Wade's knees will not be fully healed for at the least 12 months, and then he should be back to normal.
Jeez! Give us a frikking break! It's the same non-sense over and over and over again.

I said I was under the impression, meaning I thought thats what ive read, if Wade wasnt going to be fully healed for 12 months then he and Riley both shouldnt have said he isnt going to play till hes 100%. I just find it convenient that he is out for the season now, he didnt injure himself again I dont think, he doesnt have any new injuries, I just dont see why now he is calling it quits. If you want to go with the whole money thing then answer how is makes sense from a money standpoint why a players and coaches would quit with 20 games left and not give the season ticket holders there money back and then expect those season ticket holders to renew and also have other people buy season tickets. From a money standpoint quitting with 20 games left isnt wise, ill say it again, who would want to spend thousands of dollars on a team that may decide to quit before the season ends? Its not the same non-sense over and over, I gave Wade plenty of credit for still playing when he said he was going to last week.
Be absolutely real here, from your knowledge of what youve read, was Wade doing more damage to his knee by playing every game? If thats the case then I could see why they sat him out, but from what ive read and heard Wade would not have done further damage to the knee and he just decided to have the shock therapy so he can have more time for next season. If thats the case then he quit, if he was doing damage to his knee by being out on the court then 1) why was he ever playing this season and 2) why didnt he come out sooner?
Cant you just admit that the Heat have quit and are no putting out a lineup that gives them a best chance to lose and Riley has not admitted that the team quits by leaving them to scout players for his top pick. Get a hold of yourself and look at the picture, your team quit on you your favorite player has quit on you, what makes you think they wouldnt do it again next year?

I'm not a doctor, and neither are you. So, these assumptions as to the potential to cause more damage to his knee and shoulder, is not within my knowelege, and neither is it with anyone else's, but the doctors & medical staff.Scalabrine wrote:Be absolutely real here, from your knowledge of what youve read, was Wade doing more damage to his knee by playing every game? There was a transcript put up yesterday on ESPN or CNNSI, of Wade's Press Conference talking about shutting himself down, and one of the questions asked was exactly what you're asking here, why not shut it earlier, instead of now. He addressed that; he was going to sit out the rest of the season a few days before the Shaq trade occurred, because the pain and the treatment they doing on his knees weekly were getting to him, but since they acquired Marion, he wanted to be there to play with him to build some chemistry for next year, but w/ever reasons they are calling it off for now.why didnt he come out sooner?

Why in the world should anyone do that, when it is NOT the truth. Some of our best players are done for the season, in Alonzo Mourning & Dorell Wright. -- How can you not expect a team to play its 12th and 13th man if they have no choice?

Where'd you pull this one out of now?and Riley has not admitted that the team quits

He called out his team (after the Toronto) in public saying his team all but quit, and that if he could, he would refund the ticket $ back to the fans.

Wade has yet to quit on this team, and his coach has acknowledged this more than once on occasion.
Pat Riley wrote:Instead, Riley cast Wade as a player who has refused to give in to adversity, even as he clearly has not been 100 percent since the start of the season.
"He definitely is not who he is, so let's face that," Riley said. "He hasn't complained. He hasn't called anybody out. He hasn't demanded to be traded. He hasn't quit on his team. He goes out there and tries to do what he can do. Some nights he's better than other nights, when he feels better."
Can't you just admit you continue to spew non-sense left and right, because that's EXACTLY what you're doing here, once again. Sheesh!

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

Im not saying im a doctor im saying I read somewhere that the injury wasnt going to do any more damage by playing more, I am not just saying it as if I am a doctor it is something I read, and if thats the case then you know how I feel, if its not the case and him playing more was going to do more damage then sitting out is absolutely fine.
Lets just agree to disagree weve taken this thread hostage long enough. Your a heat/Wade fan, I would defend my Knicks to the death no matter what as well. No hard feelings for me we just have different opinions.

Well he had nerve damage in his shoulder and was playing with severe pain in his knee. Whether or not the knee itself could get worse if he continued to play on it is kind of immaterial, however a surgically repaired knee like his needs time to heal and he didn't really allow for any (remember, the Heat were a disaster at the start of the season so he pushed it to get back). Its been bad enough that he has been in visible pain and he is visibly slower/less explosive. There is no reason to further jeopardize his shoulder, which could be much worse than his knee, and continue to play on a bad knee when the season is this far gone.

You forgot Ricky Davis. Now that Wade is out, he gets 27 points every game on tremendous efficiency, with similar team success.
