Who is a better MVP candidate, Kobe Bryant or Tracy McGrady

Post#1 » by Lakersfan23 » Tue Mar 11, 2008 7:10 pm

Both had their big men go down with injury.

Kobe got an instant replacement in Gasol yet struggled in losses to Portland and Sacramento at home...

McGrady has to live with a 49-year old Mutombo at starting center yet has still enabled his team to win 18 games in a row in the devastatingly difficult Western Conference...

I love the Lakers but right now, I say McGrady is the MVP.

well I am a huge Tmac fan, but to be honest, they aren't on the same level right now. Kobe no doubt.

Don't we have an MVP thread for this? Kobe without a doubt. But Mac has played his way into top 5 maybe even top 3 with Kobe and LeBron.

Kobe. If T-Mac leads the Rockets to the #1 seed out west though I'll throw out the Rocket's early season struggles and give T-Mac the MVP hands down.

people put too much emphasis on wins..Kobe is more of a MVP than Tmac, just as Lebron is more of an MVP than Kobe, and Chris Paul and Dwight Howard are in the mix too.

I think its Kobe-Lebron 1 and 2 right now, with CP3 at 3, but I do think T-Mac has probably jumped ahead of KG for #4. But, if the Rockets do finish with the best record in the West, I think there's an outside chance he gets it.

i find it funny how the season tmac doesn't even make an allstar game, is the season were he could infact become an mvp.

Good call.

Use the stickied MVP thread.
