Just for **** and giggles. Do you have to hire an agent? Do you have to pay a application fee or something? Do you have to have some competitive basketball experience? Does anyone know?

A player is eligible for the draft unless he/she publicly says that he/she is staying in skool.

i put my name in the draft in 2006
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

you have to be one year removed from high school and you have to notify the NBA through e-mail, fax or mail via an agent or manager...

that's it...

of course the NBA is going to want to check you out before they allow you to be declared, you might have to send in video or they might schedule a meeting...

What about if you play professionally in Europe and you are 22, so basically automatically draft eligible?

You probably need to apply for it in some way. A team can not just draft you out of the blue...

If for whatever reason only 59 other guys declare for the draft ( I know not going to happen ) does a team have to pick you up with it's pick ?

If yes the "only" thing you have to do to be drafted is somehow take out / sabotage every other draftee but 59 guys :P

They could pick you and never sign you to a contract...

Would be worth it just to hear the analysts on Draftnight talk about you when you're drafted .

I'd even be there at Draftnight and wait in the Green Room , just for the fun of it.

Well, certain players never need to "declare," they're automatically draft eligible (i.e., seniors in college, international players born a certain year). So you'd likely be out of luck unless you sabotaged every NCAA senior.
