LOL at JVG saying Scola is rookie of the year.

JVG's top rookies

1) Scola
2) Horford
3) Durant

Durant and Horford are easily higher than Scola in the rookie rankings. You take Tmac or Yao out of the equation, Scola will find difficulty scoring. But he should be up there . I think scola should play with more consistency.

I think JVG is like a secret coach for this team.

Well we took Yao outta the equation, and his numbers got a major boost. I'm not saying he's rookie of the year, but its not as much of a stretch as people might make it seem. His impact has been huge.

His defensive ghost lives on. Adelman's offense & JVG's defense= NBA Championships. Sounds like he would have loved a crack at coaching THIS Rockets team w/ Scola and Landry instead of Juwan Howard & Jake Tskalidas.

Yeah I know. i said if Yao or Tmac both aren't on his team and he's on Durant's position, creating his own shot every game, he'll have a tougher time.

Great interview with JVG. He hit it right on the head. People are downplaying our streak b/c nobody considers us a championship caliber team. If this were the Lakers or Spurs it would be the greatest thing ever.

"What? You have to apologize for playing New Jersey?" - Van Gundy

He made a great point; the importance of giving 100% on regular season games is really overlooked.

Man, JVG is the greatest coach who's yet to win a championship.

EDIT: Why are they asking stupid football questions to a basketball coach? I mean you don't see people asking basketball questions to Bill Parcells or Bill Belichick.

Return to Houston Rockets
