These "days off" for Sekou seem fishy. It wouldn't surprise me if someone is keeping him quiet after he has hinted at what a disaster this entire organization is. If someone did that they should be notified that we already know what a joke this team and organization is, so they shouldn't bother keeping anyone quiet.

Good read with a lot on target. I particularly like the lack of big depth being a 3 fold issue with blame on front office, coaching staff, player, and maybe ownership. I don't agree with the free pass for Solomon though. I think by now that he should be able to log some minutes and if he doesn't add some muscle this off-season then I'm not sure it will happen. Got to agree with the rest though. Zaza has fallen off bad. They didn't bring in anyone. Maybe we can't land a vet like Dale Davis, but hell Houston is getting major contributions from a 2nd round PF (like a lot of the league) in Carl Landry and even got a replacement contribution from a guy just signed from who knows where in Mike Harris. There has to be a d-leaguer like Rod Benson or Elton Brown who could have come in an given some minutes and rebounding.

I also like bringing up Philadelphia, because I've been wondering what they got that we don't. I mean talent wise we should be ahead of them, but coaching they got us on. Also, I recently was wondering if Thaddeus Young might already be better than Marvin Williams. Possibly not, but it isn't hard to imagine him passing him quickly. I'm not saying we screwed up by passing on Young at #11, but it just makes me realize that Marvin probably isn't (or ever will be) all that.

Yeah, Sekou is finally saying something meaningful and insightful. Wouldn't surprise me either if the BRASS didn't like it. Feel good is the only thing that flies.

Woodson is/was/has been a mistake. Never seen so much so mis-used.

ASG is the embarrasment of the NBA.

Better not to talk about BK's track record, you keep bringing up All-Stars that arn't on the Hawks.

Philly is stronger at PG and Center and that gives them a pretty big advantage. And I did say before the season that I would have taken Thad Young instead of Acie because I wasn't sold on Marvin being the long term solution at SF.

I'm with you on Zaza, Evil. He is one of the reasons we have struggled. Horford has been great, but he can't match up with everyone because he just doesn't have the height, Zaza was supposed to help with that and give us some toughness in the post.

Its less about matchups than overall effectiveness in my opinion. We become a much less effective team when Al or Josh leaves the game (problem all season). Its worse now because Josh seems to be a little tired at this point in the season so its more likely that he has a bad game but you can't really afford to rest him. As good as Al is, I think its important to remember he's only a rookie, that is a bigger reason that any size of position concerns.

Zaza is only one inch taller than Horford.Al Jefferson is around the same height.Al just needs to gain more strength/weight and experience.

I think Horford is actually 6-9 despite what some of the sites say. I could be wrong though.

He was measure at 6'9 barefoot at the pre-draft workout. Listed heights are with shoes so he is 6'10... some guys had on shoes w/ thicker soles too, I remember someone pointing that out.

Like I said, I think the reason Al has problems with Howard is because he's a rookie. If he were playing against quick, mid-range PFs he'd have trouble too.

6' 9.75",that's his official height(u don't play basketball without shoes. He's 6' 8.75" without them)that's listed at 6'10". FYI Dwight Howard with shoes 6' 10.25" aka not that huge,he has a bigger wingspan but I think his gain of strength helped him alot as it would do Horford.Al Jefferson is the exact same height as our Al.Al's arm length seems to be the only thing lacking compared to the other guys that aren't huge height wise.
