That's true.
I was reviewing the SGs in the early 90s - generally Drexler's era
Bernard King wasn't a SG and he was a few years earlier, but Prime Bernard was up there - his prime was too short though.
Mitch RIchmond was great, but he wasn't as good as Drexler.
Reggie Lewis - talented, but not as good.
Petrovic - again, not as good.
Dan Marjerle - uhm, please. Next.
Drexler was hands down the 2nd best SG in his era, behind Jordan.
Wade - best SG in the league today? Well, I'd say it's Kobe, with Wade at 2. (Bron's a small forward).
Both being the 2nd best of their era makes it comparable (prime not career). ofcourse, Drex did it longer.
Go Knicks!! Go Mets!!
As for the Jets . . . just keep it entertaining.

You make it sound as if Wade is done.
I think, and there are many who agree with me, that his best days are already behind him. He may very well prove us wrong, but man, injuries have kicked his ass that past few years

Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

Wait, that makes no sense.
The injury that "kicked his ass" was his knee. We knew that he wouldn't be 100% this season. We, Heat fans, have been saying it from day one but no one would listen to us. We've produced articles with quotes from doctors, but we were told that we were nuts. We were making excuses for his poor play. "Oh, if he's so hurt, he should hang it up because he must be hurting the team".
Now, we're screaming from the rooftops that we knew this was going on, that this was expected, and we're being told he's done? By the same damn people who wouldn't listen to us when we said he was injured in the first place? Why in the world do you have more credibility than us? What in the name of the almighty himself gives you the divining power to tell us anything in reference to Dwyane Wade's future in this league?
Please, clue me in. Help me out here, because I'm really freaking confused by this...

IF Wade can return to form and sustain a 15 year career (as Drexler did) and still hold onto a 20 6 and 5 career stats, then I'll put him up next to Drexler. Even in the Watered down version of the NBA hes getting killed.
He also needs to learn how to take care of the ball. Wade averages easily more turnovers than Drexler averaged for his career.. Drexler only had 1 season the he averaged more turnovers than Wades BEST season in turnovers. Wades never had a season under 3 turnovers a game (and only 2 out of his 5 seasons of being under 4!!!). People always tend to overlook that but thats big.

QFT.
It's funny, you take a guy like Dominque, and everybody remembers him. The human hilight reel, the dunks and flashy game.
or a guy like Drexler, who was a better all around player.
and, correct me if i'm wrong here, but more people remember Dominique than Drex.
another difference between Wade & Drexler is that Wade is an undersized SG, while at the time, Drexler was a monster SG. one of the biggest in the league.
Go Knicks!! Go Mets!!

Flash is always more memorable then substance so what is your point? I see it as being really easy to underrate the less memorable, so his opinion has some validity. He never knocked Wade so why are you all up in his business? If you disagree with the poster please tell us why Drexler is not underrated not why poeple remember Dominique or comparing size.

I had season tickets to the Blazers during most of Clyde's era in town, so it is an easy vote for me. Clyde was every bit as explosive as Wade (even more so--the guy could fly like Jordan or Wilkins and was amazing at chasing down opponents' fast breaks for the block), a better distributor, particularly in the open court, and a far better rebounder. Most of this has been mentioned.
What hasn't been mentioned is that Drexler did all this in an era with far more pace but with about 60% of the turnovers Wade averages. Clyde simply was far better at controlling the offense without throwing the ball away. He was also a better three point shooter, although that was primarily later in his career and Wade may match or exceed him there because Clyde was far better from about 18' than he was from 23'.
Wade can get up or maybe even surpass Clyde, but he still hasn't demonstrated that he's Clyde's equal yet.
