Vlad doesn't care

Post#1 » by acion » Wed Mar 12, 2008 5:19 am

The more and more I see him, Vlad doesn't care one bit about basketball. How can a guy 6'10 play for 19 minutes go 0/5, get NO rebounds and NO assists. Even Coby Karl got 2 rebounds in his 7 minutes. Just shows lack of effort. Rather than complaining about LO, Vlad is the guy I'm trying to get rid of in the off-season.

I think he needs to quit smoking pot.

Plus, he's clearly still bothered by his injured right calf.

It's really frustrating because before he got his calf injury, he was playing like a man possessed. I guess Phil's assessment of him being a "space cadet" is dead on.

Vlad's going to be okay... apparently his time on the injured list was spent in luke walton's basketball school.

The Vlad signing made no sense when it happened, and it makes no sense now. Phil should leave the decision making to Kupchak.

I'm 90% sure that it was Phil and Kobe who wanted Vlad. It was Phil who wanted Kwame.

But yes, he should leave the decision making to Kupchak.

I disagree. The vlad signing made a lot of sense when we first got him. We needed a legit three point shooter to spread the floor out. Remember, this was before Sasha was a viable 3 point threat, and before Farmar. What we didn't know was that he would play the rest of the season with an injured shooting hand, and then the whole snow boarding incident. Before the calf injury he was playing like the person whom we all hoped he would be. But then got injured, and is now playing like a space cadet again. Pretty frustrating. :banghead:

Vlad just got back from his injury, give him a week or two to shake the rust.
Actually, I felt like Vlad played surprisingly well this season when was healthy.

I actually thought he played well upon his return, so I wouldn't make that much a deal from one bad day...

we did have Cook at the time and if we would have waited one year we would have signed Kapono instead.

He'll be okay. He just needs to get back into the mix of things. He was starting and playing well before he went down. He was driving to the hoop and dishing at times.

I'll still take Vlads D over Lukes. That isnt saying to much for our Team D when Vlad is our best defender at SF thats available to play. Get well soon Trevor!

He's always been that way. EXTREMELY passive.

OT: but I was lookin at your sig moses and Shaq won 1 ring w/o Jackson ;)

The comment on Vlad's defense being better than Luke, well to be honest they are both down right horrible, Vlad just gambles more. Anyways it was only 1 game, remember Fisher had the entire month of February where he was a complete stinker.
