OT: When you guys see the Magic on the schedule?

Do you guys chalk it up as a win or a loss? I just think this is an interesting way to guage a non-Magic fan's impression of the team that I follow.

Depends on who is the home team. Anyone chalking up an automatic win against either the Cavs or Magic is fooling themselves. I do think in Cleveland, we'd have the advantage and vice versa in Orlando for them. I'm not sure why you would care though what we think of your team. We've been following the Magic for weeks, just because we want that 3rd seed the Magic have ahold of right now. Orlando has suprised me by holding the Cavs off this long.

I think the reason for this thread is the Magic have been overlooked by the media/realgm in the East. Kind of similiar to the Cavs were last season. If that is the reason for a thread like this. Just take a step back and wait for the playoffs. You'll get your due when the Magic win a series or two.

That said, I hope you go on a losing streak just long enough to slip into the 4th spot. Have a good one. :D

Well, before last season I would always think to myself: "Man, that team had Donald Royal at one point"

After last season I think to myself: "Hey, look, that's the other team that has been to the finals once and got curbed stomped just like we did"

Orlando has a good team, but I must admit that I'm surprised if we lose to them. I just think that the Cavs are better and mentally tougher than the Magic. I do like Hedo though. I wanted the Cavs to pursue him a couple years ago.

^Hedo owns us. What's surprising is he also generally does a decent job defending LBJ.

The Magic are a tough matchup - good shooters, dominant big man, quick PG. I'd be confident in a series but any given game is a tossup right now.

The Magic are a crapshoot. You never know with them. On one night, you might be able to run them out of the building. On another, they are more lethal than most teams. They're undoubtedly talented, but inconsistent. That's makes them a difficult challenge to gauge.

Thanks for all the valid responses. The basic idea of this thread for me was to get an idea, from an outsider's perspective, of the standing in the team relative to the rest of the league. As a Magic fan w/homeristic tendencies, it's nice to get that angle about the Magic w/out my love of the team skewing reality.
