SHAQUILLE O'NEAL

Man i don't know what it is whether you hate shaq or love him but this pictured triggered something

Image

Now I know he doesn't play for the Lakers anymore but maybe you should read this while listening to some Dave Matthews or something. Wow, im just going off whatever i'm feeling right now but it's insane how time flies. Just how this guy dominated and you look at him now and it's like somewhere in that body is the guy that brought L.A back to dominance. Makes me think about Kobe and how in a some years from now he just won't be the same and he'll never be the player he is now.
I could easily put up a video mix of all of shaq's highlights but this picture just says it all to me.

That picture captures that moment so perfect, i'll never forget for the rest of my life. Thanks Shaq

Maybe this tread is useless but i just had to put that out and here's to enjoying Kobe as much as i can.

I had the same feelings not long ago in another thread when watching that last quarter of the Blazers game.

It seems like forever and it's been only 3 and a half years since he left.

whenever you're feeling nostalgic about shaq, think about the 50-60-whatever pounds he lost for miami as soon as he got traded - as part of his new deal...

that will make the tears go away real fast...

I agree OP, that scene of him doing that still even now gives me chills. I wish those days come back in the form of Andrew Bynum and Kobe Bryant. Who knows, maybe Ronny and his energy will be the ones doing that lol..

The good memories that Shaq brought to LA will NEVER be forgotten. All of us are very thankful for what he did. We all wish things could have ended on a different note. With that said, Buss should retire his jersey at Staples and Shaq should go into the hall of fame as a Laker. It is only fitting, those 2 man just need to put aside their ego.

Also, he managed to get us...

Lamar Odom - Trade
Jordan Farmar - Draft Pick via Miami
Pau Gasol - (Caron Butler via Miami - Kwame Brown - Traded For Pau)
And that whole three-peat thing.

Cheers to him back then.

Now tank the Suns to the ground and your mission will be complete Big Infiltrator.

Thank you Shaq for being FAT and coming to training camp overweight
Thank you Shaq for yelling at the man "PAY ME!!"
Thank you Shaq for biting the hand that feeds
Thank you Shaq for calling LA people "FAKES"
Thank you Shaq for refusing to undergo surgery in the offseason because it's not under "company time"
Thank you Shaq for yelling at Tex Winter: "Shut the F*** Up old man!"

Thank you Shaq. At least one used-to-be fan hasn't forgotten.

+1

The guy is a beast when motivated, he just got lazy after the PnG 3-peat. That what scares me about next season w/ the suns. He'll have something to prove and want to go out on top. But we'll be fully loaded w/ kobe, pau and bynum.

:wavefinger:

You have to end your career as a laker for you to retire as a laker. And i would rather that fat ring chaser retire as a Sun, or as a heat. I could care less where his jersey gets lifted up as long as it's not in staples.
