Webber responded to comments made by Jim O'Brien yesterday.
This was quick thinking on his part, as Jim O'Brien's comments were made on January 21st, almost a full six weeks ago.
Of course, O'Brien's comments were made like three years after they parted ways.
Silly **** argument. Both failed. Webber had clearly jumped the shark the season or two prior and ended up hurting the Sixers.
While I can't speak to the verity of O'Brien's statements regarding Webber not practicing when he was physically able to, I am pretty sure that this statement by Webber:
"It's funny, because I was the babysitter for him that year to make people like him."
Is likely an outright lie by Webber. Or, put more kindly to him, a very rosy recollection of the situation.
Anyway...there are some things less important than a feud between Obie and Webber, I just can't think of any at the moment.

I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

I think most of us are at the "jury still out" phase. Some think he's a terrible coach, others find the change refreshing.
I tend to think that he is a two players away from being a 40+ win team. Right now, we're just not talented enough.
As a coach, Jim is what he is and I don't think we have the talent needed to properly run his system. He got Philly to the playoffs and he had quite a bit of success in Boston -- but both places he had a #1 offensive option that could take over a game (Pierce and Iverson). The Pacers don't.

I agree with a lot of what fdefore said. One certainty is that O'Brien doesn't have a lot of talent, so it wouldn't be fair to expect outstanding results.
One thing he has been criticized for, and justly IMO is not getting the younger guys more pt and sticking with Jamal Tinsley way too long.Diogu and Williams have got scattered minutes at best, when game after game Hulk is out there hacking and players like Daniels have given inconsistent play with consistent minutes. Overall I am not thrilled with the job he has done, but I am not going to crucify him for not winning with this group of players.

Hahaha, yeah, I was thinking the same thing when I saw it earlier. I couldn't even think of a snarky comment to make.

I'll admit I've been on the anti-Obie wagon. I was, and still can be, frustrated by the man. However, considering the way we've performed with the offense missing, I have found it refreshing. Would like to still see a little more pressing for defensive structure.
