Hubris-free, one-car Foyle is pro athlete to love (CBS)

Post#1 » by mhectorgato » Wed Mar 12, 2008 9:21 pm

You may have never heard of Orlando Magic center Adonal Foyle. The average sports fan couldn't tell Adonal Foyle from aluminum foil. Most athletes outside of the NBA don't know who he is, either. They should. Everyone should.

Is it OK for a heterosexual male to say this: I heart Adonal Foyle.

We spend a great deal of energy in sports blasting athletes for their excesses, their arrogance, their petulance.

that was a well written article, its good to know that not all the NBA players are just blowing their money away on cars and women.
Whether you think you CAN or you think you CAN'T, you're right.

This ties into my recent post about Lebron James and his "my goal is to become a billionaire" attitude. To me, Adonal Foyle is twice the man Lebron is.

Now thats what a role model looks like. The nba needs more of them. Its not always about who has the most talent or who can sell the most shoes.

He's not the smartest man in the NBA for nothing.
