As for who I think has the best chance, this year I think Kobe and KG are the only realistic choices. For the next 4 or 5 seasons, I'd have to think that Kobe has the best chance considering the talent on the Lakers. I can't imagine that team not winning at least 60 games at least 2 or 3 times, and if they are that good, then Kobe should be a lock to win the award and they should be able to bring home a championship with him being the main driving force.

Dwight Howard. I think it will probably be about two season from now, by then i think it will be the Magic and Cavs on top of the east with boston and Detroit being a lot older. I think then, when D12 is 24 years old, he should be averaging about 25, 15, 4, and 3 blocks...

Any player with MVP potential could also win the Finals MVP. Very seldom is it not the winning team's superstar.

I would pick Kobe. Maybe Lebron.

Kobe & KG are really the only two. Not sure why people would include Lebron considering his team isn't going to get 50 wins(needed for a MVP), and would get swept out of the Finals by any West team. Duncan normally would be on this list, but he's on the decline.

For the same reason they pick Kobe despite his (1) not having won either award and (2) not having been out of the first round without Shaq...

LeBron, KG, Paul, Duncan, and Kobe are pretty much the only guys who have a chance.

What about sweeping the 3 major awards???

Defensive player of the year, MVP, and Finals MVP.

Hakeem did it.

Duncan should have done it in 03, as well as Jordan in 91, and Russell would have done it.
