Clips scored 8 straight points (3 from Thomas, 3 from Mobley, easy fast break dunk by Mobley) in the last minute before Evans hit a 3. Thornton was then able to lay it in in the final 5 seconds. Score is 76-90 to start the 4th quarter. We're still down but that was a nice scoring run to end the 3rd.

Well it was nice for me to watch a Clippers game on TV for once. We played well in the 2nd and 3rd quarter. Maggette has 20 points in the first half and only 2 in the second. The Magic were just too much for us, 110-88
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Magic easily take this one 110-88. Since their quick start not much else went right for the Clips sans a few quick runs of 8 or 10, but those were quickly responded to by the sharp shooting of Orlando. Orlando's starting 5 all in double figures (6 total) while their big 3 put up 58 points. I usually encourage Thornton to put up some shots and make some moves but he shot 8-24 tonight. That's not pretty, no turnovers though. With Kaman & Brand I like our chances against Orlando but when they're both out all you can do is hope for the best. Unfortunately our best tonight was 22 points shy of Orlando's. Friday the rookie returns home and Smush dons red, white & blue as we meet the Hawks. Hopefully things will be better for us then.

Good game guys, Thortons gonna be a beast I think he should be ROY. him or Horford. You'll definitely be in the hunt next year if Brand/Kaman are back and healthy. I must admit though, Fazekas on Dwight was kind of funny

Thanks. I would love for Thornton to be named ROY but I'm not holding my breath for that one. If he gets respectable consideration then that's at least a step up from the rookie game & February ROM snubs. Out of Durant & Horford, I'm hoping that Al will get the nod.

I was listening to the Magic radio station during a three hour drive home tonight on Sirius and they played an extensive interview with Al Thornton at half time. Al says we're ready to do damage in the West when asked about the Clippers chances next year with a healthy squad (The mentioned EB and Shaun 3-4 times throughout the interview) and Al said we'll be a "3-4 seed, easy".
Al also spoke about Cassell taking him under Sam's wing and how much of an impact it's made on his game his rookie season. Al specifically mentioned the "little things" Sam taught him. It was a very good interview, the Magic interviewer really seemed fine with talking Clipper basketball with Al for five minutes, aside from a couple of questions about Al's days at FSU. I just thought I'd share that with you guys because I doubt anybody was listening to the Orlando Magic radio station tonight.
As for the game, although Al didn't shoot it well tonight, I'm glad to see he didn't turn the ball over at all tonight. I'm thrilled to see Maggette get to the line 14 times tonight against a team with a beast like Dwight Howard waiting under the basket.

Sounded like it was a good interview from Al tonight and it appears that he handled himself well. As for tonight's game. No obvious surprise that the Clips would be on the short end of the stick. D-12 in the post was going to be tough for the Clips to contain. And the Magic would benefit from the fast break points. Magic 29 to the Clips 17.

Thanks for the recap. It sounded like a nice little interview. Top 4 seed huh, I love his optimism. I think that is something that is possible, we would just need to make some solid (by solid I mean spot on) moves in the off-season, and have a relatively injury-free year. Everything would have to go right for us. It's easy to look at this team and count them out, but if they play to their potential next season, a playoff birth is not out of the question.
