I want to beat the Lakers. It may not happen and we may lose and I may think we'll lose but I want to beat them. I don't want this streak to end against them. I want us to beat a great team in our gym.

I think the coach knows better than all of us what our weaknesses are. We didn't actually play the perfect game today. That in itself is a wake up call. Charlotte is a very athletic team too, we can't take them lightly

Well, I looked at the schedule again, and starting with the Lakers game, we play the Celtics, New Orleans, GSW, and Phoenix. I wouldn't mind if we went 4-1 or 3-2 in that stretch, but I wouldn't want us to go 5-0. Going 5-0 in that stretch will make us the #1 seed and along with that, comes alot of pressure (remember Dallas from last year?).

I like us being the underdog and having an underdog mentality going into the playoffs because that is to our advantage, IMO.

having an underdog mentality does not help this team. It needs a strong finish and a good seding in the play offs. Other teams might think the rocket are underdogs but the way they are playing no team has got the rockets figured out. If they beat the lakers they are mentally going to instill fear in all the other teams because veryone thinks the lakers are the best.

What you are saying right ow is ok I better not complete my course right now because I can get a higher mark later on. Thats stupid because you may bever get a chance to graduate if you don't complete the course right now

Completely disagree. Fact of the matter is GS and Denver are the teams we have the best chance of beating in the first round and those would be our opponents if we got the top seed.

We won't get the top seed...that stretch will probably put it on us but this win streak I hope gets us home court in the first round.

No matter what we do in the regular season we will be doubted come playoff time. So if your worried about us going into the playoffs without that chip on our shoulders that's made us play so well during this streak don't worry because i'm sure we will have that and more

btw I hope we crush the Lakers

This is kiddie thinking and I doubt the OP has ever been put in a position of supervision. Your visual analysis is in the right place but your solution to fix the problem is shotty at best. RA is well aware of this team's deficiencies and it doesn't take a loss to figure that out. What do you think acquiring Justin Williams was all about, because nothing about him screams offensive assistance for this team.

I see what the OP means. but this thread is (Please Use More Appropriate Word). Sorry.

Losing to the Lakers would do more harm than winning, not just with our standings, but psychologically. Confidence in this league is everything. Knowing that we can beat the best under a playoff-like atmosphere is huge.

Huh?

This thread is getting nothing but negative backlash and rightfully so.

"You play to win the game!"

It defies all logic to hope we lose to the Lakers for the reasons you state when we have a murderer's row schedule coming up with Bos, NO, GS and PHX. 5 games in 7 days, 4 games in 5 nights, two of which on back to backs. They will have plenty of opportunities to be humbled next week. Why hope for them to lose the first game during a stretch of games like that? Your opinion is your opinion but this thread deserves a lock. Feel free to discuss your ideas in any of the other Laker threads.

Lose and inflate the ego of an already arrogant and self-aggrandizing team/fan base? No thanks.
