nobody said about camby being a weak defender overall. he is good esp with weak side help. but still, his team is not a doing well defensively overall. its like giving out the mvp to a team which is not doing well in the standings.
and yes, KG should win it cause of the ever present defense he shows, preaches and eventually rubs off to his teammates, resulting to a better team defense.

I find it funny that people (like you) think that Kobe fans are obsessed with Jordan when it's actually Kobe haters (are you one of them?) who are more obsessed with the Jordan/Kobe comparisons because it's either they feel threatened or upset that there are people who believe that there is a player who may have a chance to Jordan's level in terms of skill.
Just so I don't derail this thread, I think that Camby will get it, but I haven't seen enough of KG this year so I can't decide whether his defense has been that good in a Celtics uniform.
Kobe's defense has been his best since the early 2000s so I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in the top 4 in votes this year. He's basically the team's defensive coach. It's one of the things that Phil Jackson is loving about Kobe right now.
