Call them the Miami Cheat
I have written to the Miami Herald beat writer the following letter, which will be forwarded to the NBA.
I think the NBA should take action against the Heat for tanking games all year long. Keeping Haslem on the sidelines forvever to go with the Dwayne Wade fiasco and Riley scouting games.I hope the league punishes the Heat.I say take away their ist round pick. It's not the Miami Heat. It's the Miami Cheat.
I like the way phony Riley tells the writer, we could also turn the ist round pick into 3 players. Riley I hope the power of Jesus takes a bite out of the Miami Heat next year.

I forget what procedure Wade is supposed to go through, but apparently it's supposed to legitimately sideline him for 30 days.
Haslem missed a whopping 13 games.
Riley's coaching has led them to an 11-51 record. They suck with or without him. Him missing games for whatever reason is hardly evidence that the Heat are trying to tank.
I'm not sure what all the complaining is about.

Noone, you had to see the recent game against the Clippers to believe it. The Heat were up by 1 point with 5 seconds left in the game. The Clippers called time out. Catino Mobley drove to the hoop and was fouled from behind by the player that was not guarding him. Mobley hit the 2 free throws and the Miami Cheat lost.
I tune into some of Heat games on League pass, so I see exactly what is going on. I saw Memphis ,Boston and the Bucks do this last year. Now the Bucks are playing the same game this year. Just my opinion. I am a dyhard 76ers fan.

Really, can you blame them? I sure as hell can't. Regardless, you'll have a hard time proving they're tanking with that scenario. Maybe it was a legitimate foul. It's their word against yours.

There is some form of punishment for tanking. You won't be awarded for it in the "lottery". Call me conspiracy minded but sometimes, the ping pong balls drop too conveniently. Franchises that are in desperate situations that require some semblance of hope always "luck" out in the lottery. Look at the past two years, for instance. Unstable franchises, Seattle and Portland, got the first two picks even though mathematically they didn't have as good of a shot as Boston, who did tank. The year before, Toronto, who's Canada's only team and NBA's only international team , lucked out for the first pick. Each time, each of these teams received these picks when very marketable players were on the board that can help them financially (Durant in Seattle, Oden in Portland, Bargnani in Toronto). So, maybe Miami will end up with a high pick but I think they'll "slip" (like Boston did) out of the top ten and a team that David Stern sees fit will end up with the first pick and a team, with a weak mathematically chance of a high pick will "surprisingly" end up in the top five.
Two years from being two years away.

Memphis did it recently. Clippers did it for almost a decade too. Stern lacks a brain, something should have been done a long time ago.
The other part of it is all the overpaid players. We used to see a lot of star players retire with their original teams....but now, they have to get traded for picks and salary cap issues before they become worthless.

Well, the heat have just had an awful, D-Wade been playing hurt and still recovery from shoulder surgery and the ankle. Dealing Shaq really help their future, and they will get a lottery pick, if they dont get in the top 3 they should trade. The Heat have many options and they are not tanking they just suck now and D-Wade/Marion were basically the only players showing up for Miami, a 70 percent healthy D-Wade and Marion won't win many games, and Ricky Davis is a nortoious loser and it seems like every team he touches turns to **** the Cavs,Celtics,Twolves and even before that they really need a point guard and a center to replace the hole shaq left cause no way in hell is Mark Blount a starting center in the nba. Draft Michael Beasley or trade pick, re-sign Marion unless you they can somehow pry Elton Brand from the Clippers in Free Agency or Trade involving their pick which then could also sign Marion back for a decent price,Trade Haslem for a point guard Mo Williams or Andre Miller come to my mind.
I don't think I Trust The Process anymore!
