gswhoops wrote:I'm assuming these guys are the starters...

McCants (MIN)
Iverson (DEN)
Brewer (UTA)
Durant (SEA)
Roy (POR)
Ellis (GSW)
Kobe (LAL)
Martin (SAC)
Mobley (LAC)
Bell (PHX)
Stackhouse (DAL)
McGrady (HOU)
Miller (MEM)
Peterson (NOH)
Ginobili (SAS)

So the starting SGs in the West, I'd rank them like so:

1. Kobe
2. McGrady
3. Iverson
4. Ginobili
5. Roy
6. Ellis
7. Martin
8. Durant
9. Miller
10. Brewer
11. McCants
12. Bell
13. Stackhouse
14. Mobley
15. Peterson

Kobe is clearly #1. The next 3 are debatable. The next 11 are debatable as well, but not on the level of the 1st 4 and pretty accurate.

So if Roy is the unanimous 5th best in the West this year, why wasn't he even in the top 10 in ASG votes?
Thank you for all the memories BRoy. You were a class act and brought hope to an entire region for 5 years. You will be missed.

Kobe Bryant (LAL) 941,716; Tracy McGrady (Hou) 663,141; Steve Nash (Pho) 526,493; Allen Iverson (Den) 514,291; Manu Ginobili (SA) 220,620; Jason Terry (Dal) 200,693; Baron Davis (GS) 194,048; Chris Paul (NO) 189,646; Tony Parker (SA) 183,173; Jerry Stackhouse (Dal) 178,152.

Because the top 10 contains four pointguards and Dallas must have had a heck of an all star balloting campaign.

coz the All-Star game is all about how good you are right? VC must've undoubtedly been the best player in the League for a few years...

Agreed except that Roy is first in that second tier.

Durant is no way better than Miller. Durant 40% from the field and sub 30% for three. Those type of numbers dont deserve that high of ranking.

Can't believe no one included Ray Allen in the top 10. He should be top 5 imo.

Ray Allen transcends conferences. He's a Celtic after all.
