Young drives with one dribble and a huge stride, leans one way into his defender, then spins away to free up his left hand for a smooth runner with great touch. Its unstoppable, unblockable, uncoachable and his ticket to being a big time scorer over the next 15 years.
Thad did a variation of the move three times (twice on drives and once in the post) against great defenders like Sheed, and looked effortless. The man is a gazelle with a velvet touch around the cup.
Thad started out the game unstoppable, but disappeared in the 2nd half.
Typical rookie.

Not worried though. The fact that he CAN be unstoppable for any stretch of time at 19 years old is straight up ridiculous.

He's progressively so fast I honestly cannot accurately gauge his potential at this time.
How true. When you consider that he's the second youngest player in the league, it's really amazing. You'd almost have to anoint him the steal of the draft if he continues playing like this. Here we have a 12th pick playing like a top 3 - on both ends of the floor.
Anyway, great win last night. Does anyone recall the last time we beat Detroit in the regular season? Seems like ages ago.
This team is winning because they've discovered a formula that works. Anyone else notice that they've done a great job of pacing themselves in games? It seems like we start off the 1st and 3rd with a slower tempo offense and then try to run our opponents out of the building in the 2nd and 4th quarters. I also think this team is in excellent shape all around. In fact, the Knicks commentators couldn't get over how well conditioned our entire squad looked when we played them last. No longer is this team handicapped by gimpy Webbers or Colemans. This team can flat out run.

I believe he has a future on this team but I do not believe he's a point guard or a future starter. By the way, after the first two months of the season I thought we were going to have to match a full MLE offer for Lou, now I don't. If somebody does come along and offer Lou 5 years/$33MIL, I would threaten to match to see if a sign and trade makes sense. If it doesn't, I think I would let him walk.

Not our sweet Lou put down the kool-aid.

Wow.
Williams is 21 years old, yet you can say that he isn't a pg or a future starter? Give the kid a chance. He's far from a finished product.

There aren't too many people who believe Lou is a PG including his current GM... and so if he isn't a 1 than he's a 2. Well, I see Iguodala as the starting guard for the future since I also see Thad moving to SF. Where's Lou going to start?
I'm not giving up on him at all and I think he has a chance to fill a Barbosa-like role on this team. There's nothing wrong with being a 6th man (3rd guard) who comes off of the bench and like Vinnie Johnson on the late 80's Pistons' teams... he can heat things up and provide some offensive spark.
Now, do I think that a third guard deserves a 5 year deal at the full MLE? Possibly but if signing him to that deal somehow makes a difference in us acquiring a legitimate starting PF, I let him walk or do a sign and trade for a pick.

The best two plays of the night were the hard fouls Jason smith put on Rip and Sammy put on Dice as he went up for the dunk...It goes to show that they are not going to give up easy shot and will make the other team earn their points at the end of the game...I could not have been more happy when Rip it the floor...enjoy seeing the Sixers not back down from anybody....

Where did Stefanski say he isn't a pg? Do you have a link?
If you are talking about his role on this current team, I can see what you are saying, especially while Miller continues to be here and play well.
If you are saying that for his career he is going to be a 3rd guard and not a pg, I have to reject that and say it is way too early in his career to make that projection.

Loved the win last night, but one thing that bugged me to no end was Dalembert always running all the way under the basket. Why the hell does he do this? If he would stop a foot or two before the basket, he could get more rebounds, including game-saving rebounds. I swear it made me cringe last night.
