I really do not think it is that Redd is a bad player , i just think he feels the expectation of being the guy too much. I also think no one wants to tell him or the coach has not got the guts to call other plays at that stage of the game.

Personally I still think he is the best player on the team , but not in this situation - I think that is Bogut.

You need a good coach (and a PG)

If he really felt the weight of being a MAX player he would improve his defense considering we're one of the worst teams in the league and he's average at best.
But the bigger problem with Redd this year is chucking and drives that take on 2 or 3 defenders. Teams know Redd doesn't pass very much so when he drives they collapse. That situation happened a bunch of times tonight and most of them left Redd shaking his head at a ref.
Ship him out, bring in fresh talent.

Firstly he wouldn't try it, and if he did he'd be benched. This goes back to a rookie coach being the worst POSSIBLE choice for this team. Unfortunately most people saw that except for Herb apparantly.

Krystkowiak not only was a rookie coach, he was a rookie coach with only 2/3 of a season as an assistant. People can choose to not like Stotts if they want, but he at least paid his dues by being an assistant in the NBA for nearly a decade.

Krystkowiak only spent two years at a small college program, one year in the CBA, and less than a full season on the bench as an NBA assistant. Granted there have been players like Avery Johnson/Porter that became an NBA head coach after limited time as an assistant, but i fail to see what made Krystkowiak more qualified than the other numerous assistants in the league who have vastly more experience

This is beyond impressive... I never thought you had so many people in Milwaukee, much less people following basketball.

We have to have a ton of posters on here. Who else would give the Milwaukee media their basketball storylines?

I think the team is starting to make some progress.

The scoring distribution the last couple has been exactly what I wanted from the beginning of the season. We got our 60pts big three in Redd, Villanueva, and Bogut. I thought it would be Yi and not Villy, but Charlie is just a superior offensive player right now. Charlie Bell has taken on the 6th man role. I thought he would be a starting role player, but he always seems to go off with big minutes off the bench. And, the other role players are playing their roles, and scoring off of the residule effects.

I'm not as down on Redd as most. I think it is pretty tough for him to reconcile reality with what he thinks he is capable of. He'll learn in time, and I think he has the capability to be a team player. He'll find his inner Reggie Miller.

Maybe Sessions is the savior. Sometimes, I'm a little crass. I'd still love to bring in another young point guard to compete with him.

I think if Sessons can hold down the starting gig, and we get a better Desmond Mason and Michael Ruffin in the draft, we will be in good shape. Maybe not contenders just yet, but a winning team in the East is a good start. Add some two-way play to the 1 and 3, and backup 2 and 4/5.

I'm not a hater, but I think that Williams is expendable, and so is one of Yi or Villanueva. If we go international in the draft I'd keep Yi, go American and keep CV.

So I just went back and watched the end of the game. With 5:07 left Bogut makes a putback to give the Bucks a 103-92 lead. Here are all the offensive possessions that happened after that.

4:28- Redd misses wide open layup with 8 on the shot clock.
3:55- Kirilenko steals the ball from Redd with 8 on the shot clock.
3:37- Bell step back 20 foot jump shot with 12 on the shot clock. (Miss)
3:16- Redd fouled by Kirilenko with 6 on the shot clock (makes both FT's)
2:48- Redd misses 3 pointer with 12 on the shot clock.
2:33- Redd misses layup while be double teamed with 14 on the shot clock.
1:55- Villanueva fouled with 8 on the shot clock (makes 1 of 2 FT's)
1:20- Redd makes a wide open layup on a pass from Bogut.
0:32- Redd misses a layup being doubled teamed with 11 on the shot clock.
0:19- Villanueva stripped with 19 on the shot clock.
0:13- Villanueva "stripped"
0:02- Redd makes fadeaway 14 foot jumper.

It must've been really hard for Sloan to come up with a defensive plan to stop the Bucks late in the game. Put your best defender on Redd, a defender who happens to be a few inches taller with incredible length and watch Redd try to take over the game.

If LK/ The whole bucks franchise weren't complete idiots, they'd be giving sessions 30 minutes a night the rest of the season to see if he has potential of being our future floor general.

PS: I definitely want Redd gone now, he is just proving absolutely incapable of playing any sort of team basketball here.

No kidding....for his first mini-extended playing time you can see the talent that everyone really likes....just smooth and he plays a little defense......I truly believe Larry K. is the worst coach in the NBA...just clueless.

I agree, in the little glimpse we saw he really seemed like a guy with real potential to be a good pg for the future.

If this team could get their head out of their asses they'd start Ramon every game the rest of the season and see what he has. If he looks good, then the bucks can use their draft pick on a big pf/c or an athletic wing instead of a pg.

The other thing I like about Sessions is that with his height the bucks can play Mo at the sg with Ramon running the point.
(if Mo's still on the team next year)

So Scott Williams was just on Sparky's show. Said the Bucks don't have a leader and as they were wrapping up the show Sparky asked if it would've been a good idea to start CV over Yi from the beginning. Scott said he thinks CV was in a funk early in the year because he felt he never had a chance to compete for the starting spot at PF.
