I feel it's more than just 20 games. It's 20 straight wins. There's a big difference between the two, IMO.

I feel this 20 game streak has to somewhat take away from the stigma that he can't win. Unless you're ONLY counting what he does in the playoffs... ...then I'd venture to say that some people feel the regular season as a whole has no effect on whether a player can be labeled a "winner" or "loser", and the playoffs are the only thing to use as a measurement.

And if that's so, then I'd have to point out that if Houston were losing 20 straight games in the regular season, then tons of people would be piling on Tracy McGrady right now, calling him a loser....

There is a perception problem with the word Winner & Loser

Whether a player is a winner or a loser - really DOESN'T have ANYTHING much to do with the team's result. Great winners can be on bad teams. HUGE Losers can be on great teams. TMAC has proven time and time again he is a BIG FAT LOSER.

He will whine, bitch, demand a trade, quit on a team, fake an injury, and become a locker room cancer. he has a sense of entitlement, and acts above the team.

maybe he is ball hogging less, maybe he is stat-padding less. maybe he has subordinated his ego to the deam. even if this is the case, it is probably temporary.

he is a phenomenal talent. he is a loser. maybe he has changed.

I have doubts about that, but I guess if this is true, then he would probably be the biggest reason for his team's faults; although last season I saw him play his heart out, get no real support on the floor, and actually cry when the team lost. He doesn't appear to be someone I could label a loser.

I don't know if there is a much of a correlation between being a prima donna and winning and losing. From what I can tell they have a pretty equal success/failure rate.

If people is giving the credit for this streak for the team, the defence and adelman (wich i agree), why they blame tmac because the magic and the rockets CAN'T pass a round of playoffs in the last 10 years? and more, considering those temas can't make the playoffs without this player.

i think mcgrady is playing like always, is just that now he have a better team around, best chemistry and the best coach he had ever.

quit tmac, and put any player in the 2005's rockets roster or 2002's magic, and it's not a very big difference, only Jordan and a few more would have done more.

Wade is hurt, has been the whole year. Tmac was fine that season.

So Wade IS hurt because he's receiving a therapy? Sounds like an excuse to me...

McGrady is a loser.

He and his cousin Vince Carter both have the same big talent but are soft. It must be in the DNA.

Rockets are gonna get absolutely crushed by the Cetics, if the Lakers don't do it first.
