Philly has a tough closing stretch:

-eight games against top-4 EC teams or top-9 WC clubs (which equate to the same standard);

-one against what should be a healthy Wizards squad;

-seven more against EC playoff aspirants (teams like Chicago, Atlanta, New Jersey);

-and only one game against a bottom-feeder in Charlotte.

If they can play above .500 for the rest of the season, they might be good enough to put up a fight against Boston or Detroit (ie., take a series to six games). But I would be surprised if they finished with more than 38 wins, and won more than a single game should they make the playoffs.

How 'bout you guys keep your concentration on making it past the first round before you start talk about the WCF.

Haha if you seriously think the 76ers can beat the pistons in the playoffs, your a bigger homer then i can ever be.

The pistons and celtics have a whole other level of intensity that the 76ers just dont have. The Pistons played one of their worst games of the season last night and you only won by 1. And the only reason I'm not including the cavs or magic in this is that i dont think theyre good enough to get a seed high enough to even play them

Yeah me, as a magic fan is a philly homer.

The Jazz can never win the west with the way they play on the road.

then your just going off of wishful thinking that you'll have to play the 76ers in the 2nd round. All I did was say the 76ers have no shot at beating the Pistons in the playoffs and i can guarantee you almost everyone on this forum will agree with that statement.

At least look at the standing before you go off. The 76ers are not that far behind Washington. Toronto is quite a bit ahead at the moment, but they head west w/o Bosh...

Personally, I don't think anyone besides the Celtics are invincible in the East.

Since we're making insane predictions, here's mine:

1. The Heat will win their final 20 games, make playoffs and win the title.

2. Eric Dampier will win the MVP by a landslide, Greg Oden rookie of the year and Steve Nash defensive player of the year.

3. The New York Knicks will move to Mexico City.

4. Lebron will retire from the game of basketball and take up baseball.

5. Sam Cassell will be named sexiest man alive by some magazine.

6. The Pistons will draft me in the second round to backup Chauncey.

I got more predictions but I'll stop there I guess.

1. Croshere will get more playing time and avg. 15-10-3
2. Baron will not shoot a 3 for the rest of the year.
3. Shaq will make 85 percent of his free-throws for the rest of the year.
4. Al Harrington will make all of his layups.

My moment of craziness

1. Adonal Foyle will be the next guy to score 50
2. Jazz play run and gun for the rest of the season
3. Tim Duncan demands a trade

Edit: my first 3 proposals were too rational

The craziest prediction had to be that one CHI mod who said the Bulls would still win 50 wins after their slow start. I wish I quoted him.
