Hey, streaks have to end sometime, right? Right? No? Oh.

If we score 80, I'll be pleased.

Good job SM15...
Looks like most of their fans on their board are overlooking us and thinking about the Lakers game... Hopefully the team is also.. I think we will win and shock the NBA world...Tracy will score, but I'm not sure that they have anyone that can exploit our man weakness (PF)...

All I remember from losses to Huston is Yao going off....

Now that Shaqie Chan is out of the lineup, I think our starters match up pretty well with theirs. Here is the breakdown I see (based on how we would play defense, because our 3 on defense would be Carroll and our 3 on offense would be J-Rich).
Felton---Alston
J-Rich---TMac
Carroll(or Wallace)--Battier
EO50---Scola
Mohamad--Mutombo

This is one game where our PF is athletic enough to guard theirs. Then since Mutombo plays only about 16 minutes per game (and for that matter so does Nazr sometimes) we will be able to get Wallace and Dudley some legit minutes against their smaller 4's.

I don't think that Houston is going to "go off" against us... but they just beat Atlanta 83-75. They don't have to. The question is, can we score on them? I would say the answer is "no," because I see a very solid defensive matchup for the Rockets at every position. Historically JRich has played pretty well against TMac, but I'm not expecting any better than a draw there. Felton will only have a good day if he's shooting jump shots really well, Okafor is going to be shut down, and unless Crash/Dudley run Battier off the court, I don't really think we can expect to outscore Houston anywhere.

LOL... keeping up traditions i see....

dont questions sm ratings. :) if he says battiers defense is a 2, then its a 2. we are just happy to have our game threads back.

did you guys see the charlotte.com article today about "getting rejected"? in the least shocking news since john daly getting drunk in the hooters tent, apparently the bobcats lead the league in getting their shots blocked. okafor is second in the league (no way!). and wallace would probably be right with okafor if he hadnt missed so many games (wallace led the league last season). wallace i can understand though, since he is relentless at attacking the rim. okafor's blocks are merely a product of going up soft and not having a single reliable post move.

Last game they had Yao and J-Rich and Wallace had off nights.

Boston had to learn the hard way, better beat us twice.

Tonight will be one of those games that we have no business winning, will have a horrible first 2 qtrs, then come out in the 3rd and 4th like a team posessed and steal a win.

Leaving us all scratching our heads.
