Is Stoudemire back in prime form?
Last year we saw tons of things from Stoudemire we never saw in his break out year where he averaged 26 points a game, and last year he didn't really dunk in traffic as much...
This year he looks so dangerous on the offensive end. He's dunking in traffic again, and he wont care if you're in his way, and he's got that jumpshot in his arsenal.
It's great to see such a great taent come back, and dominate again. NBA needs more players like Amare, and I'm happy he could come back from such a dangerous surgery.
He's been so dominate lately...

Hopefully Oden follows in Amares recovery success.
The thing that often goes unnoticed about Amare is how crazy efficient he is. Third in the NBA for all players in efficiency!
Shooting nearly 60% field, close to 80%FT, 90%FT the last month.
Nearly 10 Boards, 2.5 Blocks. Kid has been a beast.

Microfracture is a thing of the past. Shoot Kenyon had microfracture in both of his knees and still gets up.

See GS game tonight for at least three of them. Especially the one when got his knees up level with Beidrins back.

He used to run the break right next to Marion, now he's almost always the last one down the court on offense and defense. Other than that, everything else is pretty much the same as old Amare if not better. Earlier in the year he really wasn't getting many touches, but since February he's been the focus of the team's offense and is making the most of it.

Maybe I'm misremembering

I did see the GS/PHX game btw, his dunk over Biedrins was OK I guess, but I had to seriously do a double take on some of his dunks from a few years ago. He dunked on Yao like twice in the same game and his dunks on Stromile in the playoffs 2 years ago in consecutive games were epic.

amare has been very impressive lately. if he could work on his sportsmanship he would be one of my favorite players.

Whats wrong with his sportmanship? The only thing I can remember is Stoudemire saying after the olympics qualifying tournament that he isnt sad to go back to Phoenix. It wasnt like he was going back to New Orleans. In hindsight that comment was really funny though.

amare is far better now than at any point in his career
i think his leap is where it was, but yes he has lost a little explosiveness and a tiny bit of power, but he has compensated for that by becoming a mondy mid range shooter, a far more in control player (it used to be a charge or dunk) now he finishes with contact up there with the best bigs in the NBA, has the quickness and first step back and is slowly (too slowly) improving on defense
his one on one D is average but his weakside defense is a major asset

they asked him if he was upset to leave all the great players on team USA and return to his team, and he was like "are you kidding me? the suns have an awesome squad, its not like im going back to charlotte or anything"
not a reference to the city, just to the weak bobcats squad
people hate on amare because he is intense, plays with cockyness fire passion etc, the same fire etc i see in only a couple of other players in the L, namely Iverson and Garnett - these 3 (inc stoudemire) seem to be on the edge of being TOO fired up some times and for every fan they have there is someone who despises them
thats fine because that also drives these guys, im fine with people hating amare because they perceive his confidence as cockyness, but when you have come from the background he has with the roadblocks in life and in the NBA that he has, then self confidence is 95% of the reason you have made it this far and you should keep it up
