Rockets forward Carl Landry tested his injured right knee in a workout Wednesday, but with some swelling still in the knee Thursday, he's doubtful to play tonight against the Charlotte Bobcats.

"I think the whole key is going to be getting the swelling out of it, the soreness out of it," Rockets coach Rick Adelman said. "We don't want him to step backwards. When he comes back, we want him to be able to play and not have either one those things going on."

Damnit. I didn't think he'd miss this many games. It's starting to worry me a bit. We need him back, especially by the time we face the Lakers.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

It's beginning to look unlikely for his comeback against the Lakers.

Our medical staff sucks w/ estimates on injuries. I hope he comes back in time for the 5 game showdown... Lakers,Boston, New Orleans, Golden State and Suns. We need his scoring bad against those teams.

Starting to worry a bit now. He is key to our success and the more games he misses the more chance we have or losing. We definitely can't beat the Lakers without him. Should be able to manage the Bobcats though.

You know, theres really been a lot of looking forward to the Lakers game. I really don't wanna overlook the Bobcats. While they may not have a great record, they still have players that can go off. I hope T-Mac isn't looking ahead to Sunday too.

I like this move.
I think they're just making sure that he's 100% when we play the Lakers on Sunday. I think Landry will be back soon...

I agree with you and really we have no hope vs. The Lakers without Landry.

The electricity and spark of Landry dunks has been missing the last couple of game and that has mental implications on your opponents that goes directly in your favor.

Go Landry!
Go Rockets!

I'm sure he will be playing Sunday, I guess they really don't care about today's game, and think they can handle it without Landry.

If I was Landry's agent, I'd definitely play him on Sunday. Dunk on Lakers on ABC? Each dunk worth 1 mil per year.

I dont wanna rush Landry back from injury. We need to be extremely cautious with our athletes. DOnt want another season ending injury to occur. That being said..... i hope he makes it back against the fakers.

Regardless if Landry is there for the Lakers game, I still think we have a decent chance without him. If he's there, I'm pretty sure we'll win. Lakers are overrated. They play no defense, at all. I've been following them and Phoenix and I have no idea why people are projecting them to come out of the West. Phoenix will be the scarier team, no doubt, during the playoffs. Back to the OT, w/o Landry it'll be a close game. With Landry, we win by 10+.
