All that is is a convenient use of selected info. TK is right, there are cases for every scenario. It all depends on which info you look at and determine to be relavent. You can find examples to support almost any ridiculous point if you look hard enough....the difference is some folks choose to be positive and some choose to be negative...the truth is usually somewhere in the middle

So by that logic, Young will never be as good as prince. A 29 year old Prince isolated and abuse Young on several possessions. Iguess he'll never be a good defender? Give me a break.

Just because HOF players like Shaq, Lebron and Magic can come in a take the league by storm does not mean that most players don't improved dramatically from 19->26.

That doesn't mean every mediocre 20 year old will be a star, but its shortsighted to presume authoritatively that these players have maxed out their potential.

What the hell? Thad is already good. As good as Tayshaun? No. But he is better than what Tayshaun was at 19 years of age so he is on track to being BETTER than Tayshaun when he is also 29 years of age. So your point is garbage.

Iggy WILL NEVER be "$11.5 million+ per season" good.

I'm sure that some Sixers fans are holding out for Lou Williams, a second round draft pick, to one day develop into a player that the rest of the teams in the NBA covet. But in reality Lou Williams projects to be a player like a Kenny Smith, Bimbo Coles, or just maaaaaaaaaaybe even as good as a Dana Barros. Looking beyond the fact that he isn't a true PG, Lou's shooting is terrible, his shot has gradually become more and more flat throughout the season. A flat shot has a very small margin for error, even though most of them look on target, it actually has very little chance of dropping through the basket. Lou Williams is only shooting 38 of 94 .404% over his last 9 games. That's garbage.

Look at Monte Ellis. He shot 41% at 19, 47% at 20 and now 53% at 21. He has gotten regular minutes for 3 years. Lou has gotten regular minutes for one. If you want to dismiss his talent by looking only at his current production you are shortsighted.

And your point about Young basically validated my point that good young players will ussually get better... If you don't see Lou as a good young player you might need to start paying more attention.

Great point

I dislike when people try to give 24 year old Iguodala extra credit for being a young player OVERLOOKING his deficiencies as if the NBA hasn't had 19 year old ALL STARS...

Or Kobe...WHEN they were both 18 compared to his 24...We all know now that there clearly isn't a comparison unless you are one of the "19 5 and 4" Iggy fan stat geeks of the world praising his "elite" status...

Is there anyone that holds LeBron/Kobe hopes for Iggy? I think not...that being the case...how is that relevant?

Wilt, Magic, Shaq, Mikan, Jordan, Oscar...

...All not Andre Iguodala. Just dump the bum if he demands more than 7M next year...

Can we all please upgrade the level of reading comprehension in this thread? I absolutely hate having to reach back and bring people up to snuff.

Iggy is 24 years of age. Hardly a "young" player...

Totally. If he can get it from someone else let him. I'd go higher than 7m myself...but the sentiment is the same

This is a QUALITY thread hijack here.

How did this morph from a Lou Williams thread to a boilerplate SendEm "bash Iggy" thread?

Nice.
