Rate the Coaches so far
Well, I was thinking since Sam Vincent already got a C by grading himself, why don't we all grade the top coaches so far this season? Top coaches meaning coaches that have their teams on the point to win 45+ wins this season.
So the coaches to rate would be the following...
Don Nelson
Mike D'Antoni
Phil Jackson
Rick Adelman
Byron Scott
Gregg Poppovich
Doc Rivers
Flip Saunders
Jerry Sloan
Avery Johnson
George Karl
Stan Van Gundy
Mike Brown
Sam Mitchell

I just can't remember a single good thing Sam Mitchell has done this year. His inconsistent rotations. Falling in love with Delfino. Never giving Bargnani a decent chance. Benching Rasho when we most need his rebounding. Letting Ford get away with playing like he thinks he's Michael Jordan. Poor inbounds plays. The list goes on.
We have smart players, but a dumb coach. We're wasting our high IQ players.

All my Cs are for coaches who didnt improve their team much
My Ds are for teams that should be better than how they are performing
1 B- for Pop who only now looks to be in control of the West as champions
B+ Sloan better than expected,SVG and Doc are performing with new
additions that were supposed to improve their teams
A Flip for not being fazed by Boston/ Adelman do I really have to explain
A+ Look at NO

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

Don't confuse "top coaches" with "coaches with good teams". There's a HUGE difference there.
I'd argue that Reggie Theus & Nate McMillan have been 2 of the TOP coaches thus far this year and neither one's team will approach 45 wins.

I meant that. I was just having a hard time putting that into words for some reason last night.
