Darko revisited
so are we happy we didnt sign darko. Sure he was good for defense and probably better than foyle...but given a chance in memphis..he isnt really doing anything special like we predicted...so yeahl..bust for #2 pick.

it would have been nice to have kept him, and he would probably do well here for us with his ability, maybe better than Foyle as you stated. But ultimately, his attitude and his demands were not worth resigning him for...He has not lived up to his new contract with Memphis, and he would not have lived up to that here...
I wonder if more people would be upset that we kept Darko and he sucked than the people who are upset we let him go...
I also wonder if we'll continue to hear Darko nonsense for the next 15 seasons...

I have to admit I was a Darko fan, but I have been following him in Memphis and the dudes a total bust. I think Otis made the right move there. Come to think of it, Otis couldn't really have done any better, we've already surpassed last seasons total wins. I think having Darko would have led to just about as much success, no more, no less.

Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

I thought not resignin darko from day 1 was a great decision. He's lazy and it's shown.

Okay, I'll take my medicine. I was a huge critic of loosing Darko. I thought he would be a sold center, a near max player, and a perfect compliment to Dwight. It now looks like I was wrong, wrong and wrong.

Or the possibility of starting, but playing out position at the 2.

Otis as anyone can recall never made the decision to let Darko go. It was strictly a function of signing rashard to the Max. He was in fact still trying to sign him. Can't change the history books there. Don't know how it would have turned out if he was still here. He did on our team have his moments albeit not as much as anyone would have hoped for.
Plenty of players including Evans (a bit) for the time being have had resurgences by switching systems. Sometimes it goes the other way. Darko probably needed a player like Dwight beside him. Definitely did not deserve the spot he was picked at though.

Where is Cedric (and a few others) when you need some good old fashioned Darko lovin' like he's the best euro big in the NBA and will totally rule the L if given the chance.
Sorry but I have a good memory and this was too good to pass
Never liked the guy, but I still think he'd be useful beside Dwight like he showed about 5-4 times (not a typo) with the magic.

He's floundered with 4 different coaches now.
He's floundered with 3 different teams now.
Eventually people will see that the cause is not from outward influences.
Perhaps he'll become motivated and realized that talent and potential that many see (myself included). But so far, his track record isn't too promising.

Nah, screw darko, I am happy watching us score 100+ a game jacking 3's like the warriors. Last year was the worst offensive basketball I have seen. Darko would have just got in the way of Dwight's progression whch is the only real shot we have at a title anyhow. We need a TOUGH defensive player and rebounder that does NOT require a lot of touches. Darko is a head case.
"And with Dwight, he's Moses Malone at 22, Shaq at 22 and Tim Duncan.

Who is Darko?
lol.
Actually, I wasn't pissed that Milicic did not return, but only that he was lost in the trash heap. He'd still have value......anyway, dead point there.
I am surprised that he has not progressed much this season (although of late did have a decent run of productive games), but it is still too early to say he can not play in the NBA.
I think once he finds some touch around the basket, you'll see his confidence soar. He's gotta stop missing the peeps though.

Basketball is driven by three principles:
1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability
